Welcome back, DFB friends! We’re here with another What’s New at Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
And, we’ve got plenty of updates to share with you. So, what are you waiting for? Let’s dive right on in!
Animal Kingdom Merchandise Update
Discovery Trading Company
Monsters, Inc. has had a special place in our hearts for years as the original, sequel, and even television series have given us iconic Pixar characters. And, we can hardly believe it’s been 20 years since the first film debuted! So, in order to celebrate, you can look monstrous (in the best way possible) wearing the 20th Anniversary Monsters, Inc. Pins with Sulley, Mike, Randall, and Roz front and center.
Animal Kingdom Entertainment Update
Attractions
Genie+ has officially rolled out in Disney World and we’ve been keeping our eyes on wait times. We saw a drop in wait times during our visit to Animal Kingdom this week!
Popular attractions like the Kilimanjaro Safaris and Flight of Passage only had a 15 minute wait and 30 minute wait respectively, compared to the near hour-long queues we’ve seen as of late.
The park itself was on the quieter side as well with fewer guests milling about restaurants, attractions, and shows available in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Animal Kingdom Construction Update
Primeval Whirl
Primeval Whirl is still in the process of being taken down in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. (Farewell, friend!)
The coaster is currently surrounded by scaffolding and a tarp as a safety precaution. Although we aren’t sure if anything will replace it, we’ll be sure to keep you updated!
Well, that’s all for this What’s New at Disney’s Animal Kingdom! We’ll catch you next time for more updates. And, if you have any questions about your upcoming Disney vacation, let us know so we can help you find the answers! Stay tuned with DFB for the latest Disney entertainment and news!
