Well, as you can tell, we’ve been pretty busy covering everything about Disney World’s MASSIVE 50th Anniversary Celebration, and, yes, we ate SO many blue cupcakes! But we also managed to get over to some of Disney World’s hotels to see if anything new was going on with them, so on with the updates!

Parking Lot
The construction screen wraps in the parking lot are now 50th anniversary-themed.
We also noticed the scrims on the top floors are now gone.
It’s so nice to see so much of the construction being completed here!

We discovered even MORE new artwork on the Contemporary’s first floor.
We are loving how all the art and decor really work with the Contemporary’s updated look and feel.

Grand Floridian Cafe
We LOVE the chocolate sculptures by the chefs at the Grand Floridian Cafe, and the latest does NOT disappoint. It’s devoted to Cinderella, or more importantly, to her mice friends! And just look at these beautiful details!
We can’t wait to see what kind of masterpiece they come up with next!

Gasparilla Island Grill
Although we haven’t seen them since Disney World’s reopening, the self-serve bakery cases have returned to Gasparilla Island Grill.

So Beaches and Cream might have the most outrageous 50th anniversary snack at Disney World. The Cupcake Celebration Shake is very well in keeping with that tradition thanks to Sparkly Caramel, Sprinkles, an ENTIRE SLICE of Birthday Cake, and a 50th Anniversary Chocolate Medallion on top!
It’s a LOT, but it’s also a sweet delicious treat that you’ll probably need to share! It’s available for $16. And you don’t need a reservation to get it — it’s also available at the To-Go Window!

We spotted two of the new 50th Anniversary Alex and Ani Jewelry at Beach Club Marketplace. There’s this pretty 50th Anniversary Minnie Ears Bracelet for $60…
…a 50th Anniversary Castle Bangle for $60…
…and a 50th Anniversary Castle Necklace.
The necklace is $70.

Disney’s Yacht Club Food Updates
The Market at Ale & Compass
At the Yacht Club, the 50th Celebration Tart is made with a Birthday Cake Mousse Dome on top of a Milk Chocolate Mousse-Filled Vanilla Tart Shell with Buttercream and Chocolate Decor. It’s so pretty!
However, if you’re not into icing, you might want to skip this dessert — there’s loads of it!

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort Food Updates
Capt. Cook’s
So we ate a LOT of cupcakes for the 50th anniversary, starting with the 50th Celebration Cupcake at Capt. Cook’s. This is a vanilla cupcake with a DOLE Whip pineapple center, tropical fruit salsa, and topped with a pineapple macaron and a white chocolate medallion! Yep, there’s Dole Whip INSIDE the cupcake.
There’s a lot going on here, but we really liked it! Grab it now for $5.99.

Kona Island
Over at Kona Island, we checked out the Cinnamon Cupcake, which is made with apple filling and cream cheese icing, tropical fruit salsa, and a Mickey macaron. That’s another cupcake with a LOT going on!
There’s also the Chocolate Dome, which is a white and dark chocolate mousse dome with a graham cracker crust and blue Mickey spirals.
Another 50th Anniversary treat you can grab here is the Lemon Tart. This is lemon curd in a sable tart shell with toasted meringue and fresh berries.
Sounds like a MUST for lemon fans!

We checked out the 50th Celebration Dole Whip Pineapple! You can choose either Pineapple or Lime with a 50th Anniversary Chocolate Medallion, a Parasol Umbrella, and EARidescent Shimmer. SO MANY shimmering drinks, y’all.
This is basically a shimmery Dole Whip, so yes, it’s delicious. You can get it for $5.99.

Barefoot Pool Bar
Okay, so…maybe you need to sit down for this. Because we found a Watermelon Dole Whip MARTINI at the Polynesian! It’s made with Grey Goose Vodka, Watermelon Dole Whip, and green Watermelon Sugar Crystals. And if you’ve ever wanted to know what a Watermelon Jolly Rancher would taste like in drink form, THIS IS IT.
However, if you want to try it for yourself, it will set you back $17.

Over at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, we had yet ANOTHER cupcake — the 50th Celebration Cupcake made with vanilla cake, marshmallow cream, birthday cake mousse, and gold crispy pearls around the border. It’s also got a milk chocolate 50th icon medallion on top!

Disney’s Art of Animation Resort Food Updates
Landscapes of Flavor
Disney’s value resorts are serving up THREE new 50th anniversary treats, including Walt Disney’s Favorite Chili in a Bread Boule. It’s served in a bread boule and topped with cheddar cheese for $9.99. We actually found the chili to taste a little bland.
The 50th Anniversary Dessert is a Raspberry Cheesecake with a Rose Gold Champagne-infused Glaze, all on top of an Almond Cookie. And it’s gluten-free to boot!
For $5.99, we found this treat pretty tasty!

Le Petit Cafe
The 50th Celebration Cupcake at the Riviera is a vanilla cupcake filled with cake-flavored mousse and topped with caramel-buttercream icing. It’s decorated with gold crisp pearls, 50th Anniversary sprinkles, and a whimsical gold Mickey.
Warning — this cupcake requires a SERIOUS sweet tooth. It’s available for $5.99.

But wait…because we ate even MORE cupcakes. The Chicken Dinner Trio Cupcakes is THREE cupcakes, designed to look like the different parts of a chicken dinner because…why not?

So we’re not going to lie, but one of our FAVORITE 50th anniversary foods has been the Spam-Cheddar Biscuits with White Gravy and drizzled with Honey. And if you’re looking for the perfect comfort food, this is it!
You get two biscuits for $15, which we thought was a little steep, but they were delicious!

Good’s Food To Go
And we’ve got ANOTHER cupcake to tell you about. The 50th Celebration Cupcake is a Vanilla Cupcake with Blackberry Sauce, White Chocolate Mousse, a White Chocolate Surprise, and Vanilla Buttercream with Dark Chocolate Mickey Ears and Cocoa Butter Spray to finish.
The White Chocolate Surprise? It’s got extra sprinkles in it! How fun, right?
