On October 11th, both Magic Kingdom Monorail lines shut down for a while, causing guests to seek alternate transportation. It goes to show you, anything can happen on your Disney trip!

Magic Kingdom Food Updates

There were also some great new snacks at Magic Kingdom. At the recently reopened Main Street Confectionery, you can grab the delicious new Peanut Butter Cookie Pie with a Peanut Butter Cookie, Chocolate Frosting, and Peanut Butter M&M’s for $5.49!

However, not every Disney snack can stand out, and the two new 50th Anniversary slushies over at Cheshire Café are great examples of that. They’re nothing too special, but they’re still decent slushies! You find the All Mixed Up Slushy and the Not-Too-Late Tea Slushy for $5.99 each.

If you’ve been trying to figure out what new 50th Anniversary food to try (because honestly, some are MUCH better than others), check out our ranking of ALL the 50th Anniversary treats in Magic Kingdom!

Plus, you can see what other DFB readers think of the new treats in our 50th Anniversary Treat bracket! Now that all our mouths are watering, let’s talk about something equally tantalizing…construction. 😂

Magic Kingdom Merch Updates

Since the 50th Anniversary-themed flood of new merch, we’ve been spotting all sorts of new items at Magic Kingdom! First, there are new ten packs of Vintage Disney Postcards for $9.99 at the Main Street Cinema as part of the Vault Collection.

Disney World Postcards

Remember those old white Disney World mugs? Well, they’re back! You can also find this one at Main Street Cinema for $22.99.

A Blast from the Past!

Ready for a tongue twister? These Mickey Ears have Mickey Ears that have Mickey Ears! You can find these new ears, which feature little Mickeys instead of ears, for $24.99 at the Emporium.

Classic Mickey!

Speaking of old-school, the new track jacket at Magic Kingdom is giving us major 90s breakdancer vibes and we’re not sure if they meant to do that! If they were going for 1996 Little League coach, they absolutely nailed it. You can find this new 50th Anniversary jacket for $64.99 at the Emporium.

Can you see the pattern?

Okay, we promise there’s just one more update and then we’ll be done (for now!).

Magic Kingdom “Fun” Updates

If you walk into the queue for Pirates of the Caribbean, pay close attention to this rock as you pass it and you’ll see it make a cool transformation!

It’s not just a rock…

If you can’t make it to Magic Kingdom anytime soon (or you don’t want to stare at a rock while you’re trying to get in line at Pirates of the Caribbean), we took plenty of pictures to show you what happens!
