We’re always looking out for the newest snacks in Disney World, so it’s not unusual for us to have a cupcake or chicken tenders for breakfast.

But recently, a brand-new menu item popped up that was actually meant to be eaten for breakfast! It might not look like breakfast (just wait ’til you see this adorable creation), but it was definitely the perfect start to our day. You can’t find this new dish in the Disney World parks, but lucky for us it wasn’t too far away.

We headed down to the Whispering Canyon Cafe at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge to try their newest breakfast item: Dynamite Cinnamon Roll Sticks.

These are cinnamon rolls that are colored bright red and shaped to look like sticks of dynamite! Whispering Canyon Cafe is styled with Wild West decor, so A+ on hitting the theme. The presentation was superb — they even came standing up in a wooden crate.

The wick that you see sticking out of the “dynamite” is chocolate-covered bacon, which was topped with crushed red hot candies. And a warm nut glaze came on the side, which you could drizzle over the cinnamon rolls yourself.

Although they’re sticks of dynamite topped with red hot candies, these weren’t actually super spicy, in our opinion. There were bursts of cinnamon (especially if you got some of the candy), but nothing overpowering.

Basically, these were deliciously gooey cinnamon rolls with an extra dose of cinnamon.

And then there was the chocolate bacon. Do we really need to say anything about that? It’s chocolate. Bacon. 10 out of 10 in our books.

Without the glaze, we think the rolls would have been WAY too dry. But since we could pour on as much nutty syrup as we wanted, that wasn’t really an issue.

We probably would have preferred icing to a glaze (like the icing on the cinnamon rolls they’re serving over at Gaston’s Tavern in the Magic Kingdom), but we still liked the glaze. It’s filled with pecans and is very tasty.

And if you know the Whispering Canyon Cafe, you’ll know about the sassy servers as well! When we asked for a to-go box (since this dish comes with FIVE cinnamon roll sticks and we just needed one to feel full), this is what we were brought:

The servers here are hilarious and fun! Basically, this was the perfect start to a Disney World morning. Five Dynamite Cinnamon Roll Sticks costs $12 (which is a STEAL, since they’re super shareable).

Head down to the Whispering Canyon Cafe to grab a dynamite breakfast! (No, we are not ashamed of that pun.) These aren’t on the menu yet, but just ask your server about them if you’re hoping to order some.
