From time to time, we spot price increases at restaurants and more around the Disney World parks, and we do our best to let you know about the changes when we see them.

Today, we spotted a small change in EPCOT that wasn’t necessarily a price increase — it was more of a product decrease. But, it will have an impact on just how much bang you’re getting for your buck. Let us explain.

Inside the Mexico pavilion in EPCOT’s World Showcase, you can find La Cava del Tequila, which serves a variety of specialty cocktails, margaritas, and more.

This spot has long been one of our favorite bars in Disney World, and often serves up some unique and colorful creations.

We were in a spicy kind of mood today, so we ordered El Diablo, which is a drink we’ve had before. This drink has Tromba blanco tequila, fresh lime juice, agave, cucumber-jalapeño juice, and a hibiscus salt rim. It costs $16.

When we got our drink, we found it to be tasty as always, but we thought it seemed a little bit smaller than the drinks here normally are.

We asked a Cast Member, and it turns out we were correct. Due to a supply issue, La Cava has new cups for their drinks, and these cups hold about 2 oz less liquid than the old ones did.

Unlike the amount of drink in the cups, the price tag did not go down. The drinks here are still the same price that they were when served in the old cups. If you’re looking for a refreshing adult drink in Mexico, La Cava del Tequila is a great place to go because of how tasty their cocktails are. But, just be aware that the amount of alcohol you’ll get for the same price has gone down here. In other words, right now you’ll be getting less bang for your buck than before.

If you’re not willing to shell out the same cash for a smaller drink, there are plenty of other options around World Showcase for drinks (even within the Mexico pavilion itself)!
