A Popular Disney World Attraction Is FINALLY Reopening Next Week!

There are a lot of new things in Disney World right now, with tons of holiday decorations, treats, and merchandise.

Disney says it’s the holiday season!

But even with all the new things, some attractions, shops, and hotels will be unavailable in the next few days. Let’s take a look at the refurbishments around Disney World so that you know what’s going to be closed when you visit.

We’ll start out in the Magic Kingdom.

Magic Kingdom

Mickey’s PhilharMagic is a popular attraction where guests can watch a 3D show that features a lot of classic Disney movies. Imagineers have been hard at work adding a new scene inspired by Disney’s Coco.

PhilharMagic will still be closed for most of next week as the final touches are made, but this attraction will reopen on Friday, November 12th!

Starting then, you can head in to see the new scene along with all the old favorites. The Walt Disney World Railroad is also still closed in the Magic Kingdom.

Walt Disney World Railroad

Construction over in Tomorrowland on the upcoming TRON Lightcycle Run roller coaster has interrupted the train tracks there. So we probably won’t see the railroad reopen until TRON construction is finished.

Fantasyland Station

Disney hasn’t released an opening date for TRON yet, but we’ll keep you updated with any news we hear about!

In the meantime, make sure to check out the Jungle Cruise in Magic Kingdom, because it recently got its holiday makeover!

Jungle all the way!

It’s now known as the Jingle Cruise, and there are more holiday puns where that came from to match the theme.

EPCOT

Over in EPCOT, the only closure you’ll see at the moment is Souk-al-Magreb, which is the gift shop in the Morocco pavilion of World Showcase.

It’ll open this week!

This shop is scheduled to reopen on Saturday, November 6th.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

In Animal Kingdom, Kali River Rapids is still closed for refurbishments.

This water attraction will be closed for the rest of the year, so it’s not scheduled to reopen until January 1st, 2022.

Disney World Hotels

Most of the Disney World hotels are officially open now! The only one left is Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort.

The value resort was supposed to open later this year, but its reopening has been delayed indefinitely due to more refurbishments inside the hotel.

The Port Orleans – Riverside hotel reopened recently, and most of the dining options here reopened as well.

The only restaurant we’re still missing is the Boatwright’s Dining Hall. A Cast Member we spoke to said that the dining hall should reopen sometime in December, so we’ll make sure to keep you posted on more news with that.

Finally, the Big Pine Key building at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort has begun its transformation into Disney Vacation Club villas.

The rooms will become 200 resort studios, which are scheduled to open in the summer of 2022.
