Speaking of treats, let’s look at a unique treat that mixes two of our favorite things: hot chocolate and waffles!

During Merriest Nites at Disneyland, you can stop by Jolly Holiday to get Sipping Chocolate with a Dipping Waffle, which is European Drinking Chocolate with a Sweet Waffle for dipping, for $6.99. Now, this isn’t exactly hot chocolate: this is drinking chocolate, a type of drink that’s a bit more bitter and sometimes a little bit thicker than the usual hot chocolate we’re all used to. And we’ll admit, we thought this snack might disappoint us…

…but this was VERY good! The waffles were more like cookies with more substance than we expected, but still were soft like waffles. And the chocolate was nice and THICK, like a Spanish hot chocolate — it was so rich and creamy and done really well. And with the waffle — well, it was just about perfect.

Also hot tip: we also dipped the chips we got with our holiday sandwich in the chocolate and that was DELICIOUS. We’re always keeping up with the latest Disney news and everything at Merriest Nites, so stay tuned here for more!
