The Disney Cruise Line resumed sailings this past summer, and they’ve been updating policies and requirements for guests ever since.
We’ve seen changes to the cancellation and refund policies, cruise itineraries, and vaccine requirements. Now, there’s been a BIG change to the vaccine requirements for guests hoping to set sail soon.
The CDC recently approved a COVID-19 vaccine for kids ages 5 and older. In light of that change, the Disney Cruise line is updating their current policy to require vaccines for all kids ages 5 and older on cruises that set sail on or after January 13th, 2022.
Previously, vaccines were only required for kids ages 12 and older, as well as all adults. Starting on January 13th, anyone older than 5 will need to show proof of vaccination before they board the ship.
Before that date, guests ages 5 through 11 can “provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test result taken between 3 days and 24 hours of their sale date” instead of providing proof of vaccination. Guests ages 4 and younger will need to show proof of this test as well for all upcoming cruises.
The policies continue to change as the situation develops, so stay tuned with DFB for more news as you plan for your upcoming vacation.
