So we saw Thanksgiving crowds yesterday, but what are Disney World crowds like today?
Today is the debut of the 2021 Festival of the Holidays in EPCOT and a lot of people are visiting for the Thanksgiving holiday, so we weren’t expecting low crowds in Disney World. Still, we were a bit surprised to find two parks VERY busy…and one oddly empty. Let’s get into it!
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
As we walked into Disney’s Hollywood Studios, we knew it was bound to be a busy day today.
There were a LOT of people ready to start their day at Hollywood Studios.
We got in line and decided to actually time the wait to get inside Hollywood Studios, which ended up being around 30 minutes to get to the gates.
Once inside the park, the crowds didn’t dissipate.
Pretty much everywhere you turn, you can expect big crowds of people in Hollywood Studios today. From Sunset Boulevard…
…to Toy Story Land, we saw huge crowds. Pack your patience and plan to take your time in Hollywood Studios today!
So what about EPCOT?
EPCOT
As we said, today is the first day of 2021 Festival of the Holidays, and it’s not super shocking to find crowds.
And yeah, there are a LOT of people in EPCOT today making their way to the Festival of the Holidays booths. Again, make sure you lower your expectations and practice patience!
What about Animal Kingdom?
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
So getting into Animal Kingdom wasn’t nearly as time consuming as it was for Hollywood Studios.
Inside the park, some areas were fairly crowded…
…while other areas had more space. So you might have to look around Animal Kingdom to find areas where less crowds have gathered.
Let’s make our way to Magic Kingdom now.
Magic Kingdom
After witnessing the Magic Kingdom crowds on Thanksgiving, we were pretty surprised to find the park…weirdly empty today? As we entered Magic Kingdom, we noticed there weren’t a ton of people near the Christmas tree.
Main Street, U.S.A. had more people, but it was less than we saw on Thanksgiving.
Over by the entrance to Tomorrowland, there weren’t many people.
In fact, most of Tomorrowland was fairly calm.
However, there WERE crowds around Fantasyland, which is fairly typical.
Still, there were lots of pockets of emptiness around Magic Kingdom!
Apparently Magic Kingdom is the park to choose today if you prefer less crowds. Keep following along with DFB as we report about holiday crowds and more around Disney World today!
