Refurbishment is complete in at least one area of Camp Jurassic at Universal’s Islands of Adventure. Construction walls have been removed from around the dinosaur skull slide.
The play area reopened in mid-October, but this section remained closed off as nets were replaced.
There is now all new netting in this section. Though we didn’t see any construction crews in other sections of Camp Jurassic, it’s possible more of the play area will be closed for refurbishment.
Guests can once again enjoy the skull slide.
Camp Jurassic has water zones, water guns, and more for guests to play.
In this tower, guests can look out at the rest of Jurassic Park.
Here’s a closer look at some of the new netting.
The tops nets here are still closed off so we assume they will be replaced soon.
The new netting is obvious versus the old. This net bridge is bright white with light brown rope at the edge. An old net bridge to the left is significantly darker.
Other areas on the ground remain closed off, too.
These stairs have a plant as well as a net blocking access.
Guests can access water guns that look down on a pathway of the play area.
For now, one water gun is still missing.
