We may not be in EPCOT, but we did find new Mexico merchandise at Disneyland Resort. These Alebrijes shoulder plush were in World of Disney at Downtown Disney District.
Alebrijes are a form of colorful folk art in Mexican culture and the animals were depicted as spirit guides in Pixar’s “Coco.”
Alebrije Shoulder Plush
This first shoulder plush somewhat resembles Pepita from “Coco,” but with big ears and no horns.
It has pink wings and a long tail.
The Alebrije can sit on your shoulder using a magnetic piece that goes under your shirt.
This Alebrije is an orange lizard with blue wings.
A baby version of Dante from “Coco” in his Alebrije form was released earlier this year.
