Disney World has a large number of hotels to pick from, but now a NEW choice is available.
Earlier this month, the Walt Disney World Swan Reserve opened. This hotel has a number of things that you might enjoy including walking access to EPCOT, Disney transportation, and more. While we’ve toured the hotel before, recently we were invited to the hotel’s official ribbon cutting ceremony and we got the chance to look at some of the rooms you can stay at while there.
Ready to check out the Swan Reserve? Let’s go!
When you walk into the Swan Reserve, you’ll see some beautiful details on the walls…
…and all around. Overall, the style is that of a boutique hotel.
The space has an elevated look and feel, while still being casual and not stuffy.
And, of course, you’ll have to keep your eyes peeled for a Mickey-shaped item…
…or two!
There is plenty of seating…
…including some very fun looking chairs!
Stir is the Swan Reserve’s lobby bar. You can stop here to get some drinks at the resort.
The resort has a fairly large pool outside for guests to enjoy, with seating around a fire pit.
There is also a bar by the pool called Tangerine. As you might have gathered from the name “Tangerine,” the Swan Reserve has incorporated a citrus theme at this spot. In fact, the citrus theme is one you’ll find carried out throughout the whole resort.
If you need a cup of coffee for those early mornings or long nights, you can stop by Grounds.
There, you’ll find some coffee as well as some grab-and-go snacks and more.
The hotel’s signature restaurant is Amare.
There are a variety of seating options available here, and a beautiful opening that allows you to peek into the kitchen.
Here’s a peek at the menu for this spot’s breakfast buffet.
While breakfast does have a buffet option, lunch and dinner are plated. The items on the menu here are influenced by Mediterranean flavors.
One of the best perks about staying at the Swan Reserve is that guests at the resort get access to all of the amenities at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resorts.
Guests at the Swan Reserve also get amenities provided to Disney World hotel guests like access to free transportation to the theme parks, and Early Theme Park Entry.
The Swan Reserve is also a Marriott hotel, meaning you can use your Marriott points to reserve a stay there.
The Swan Reserve has been open since November 3rd, but today (the 12th) was its official opening ceremony.
In total, the hotel has 349 rooms, 151 of which are suites. Today, we got the chance to peek into a junior suite (which is considered the middle grade) and a suite.
In the junior suite we toured, we got to look at the living room area, which has some GORGEOUS windows overlooking Disney property (in fact, you’ll find floor-to-ceiling windows in ALL of the rooms).
In the junior suite we toured, we also got a look at the room’s television area…
…small desk/table area…
…and bedroom.
The room also has a bathroom with a toilet area…
…sink area…
…and shower space.
We also got the chance to look at a suite. This room again had a wonderful bathroom with one sink area…
…and another sink by the shower.
There was also a great bedroom with wonderful views…
…a closet to put away all of your essentials…
…a living room space…
…and a spacious table.
Some of the views from the Swan Reserve (depending on where you are) are TRULY breathtaking.
During the media event we got the chance to try some the “Reserve Juice”or “The Reserve Boost” which features turmeric, orange, and lemon, as well as other ingredients.
Then, it was time for the opening ceremonies! We got to hear from some members of the team behind the opening of this hotel…
…and (of course) Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse showed up to take part in the festivities!
Then it was time to get that ribbon and those scissors for the big moment.
And that was it! The Swan Reserve has now had its official opening ceremony!
If you’re looking for a NEW hotel to stay at when you visit Disney World and you want (1) walking access to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios; (2) the ability to use Marriott points for your stay; (3) some gorgeous views, and more — you might want to consider staying at the Swan Reserve! It is located right near the Swan and Dolphin and can provide you with easy access to 2 of the parks and a whole lot of other great amenities.
