This year, The Jungle Cruise in Magic Kingdom got a few updates to the story and set (and it got its own movie as well).
But today we saw that the ride got yet ANOTHER makeover, this time for the holidays. That’s right — the Jingle Cruise is back! We saw holiday decorations up all over the Magic Kingdom, which means the holidays are in full swing. The rides don’t want to be left out, either! The Jungle Cruise got lots of decorations and even more holiday puns this year. Let’s take a ride and see what’s different about this fan-favorite holiday overlay.
We hopped in line and got prepared for a bunch of amazing(ly bad) puns and some festive decor. The queue is full of cute decorations, like wreaths…
…candy canes…
…and even a fully decorated office, complete with a silver tree.
We spotted a big sign wishing everyone a happy “gnu” year as well. The Cast Members are all in on the fun too, with festive, wreath-trimmed hats.
Some of the decorations are more subtle, so make sure to keep your eyes peeled. It’s easy to miss this net full of Christmas tree ornaments…
…and if you’re not looking, you might not see what’s on the Crew Mess menu! Monday has roasted turkey, and then it looks like the crews will be getting leftover turkey dishes every other day! We can definitely relate to that — it has to be the truest holiday decoration we’ve seen so far.
We’ve got to note here that we were NOT the only people who were excited about the Jingle Cruise today. Although the wait time was posted at 55 minutes when we got in line, we waited for over 90 minutes before we got on a boat. Everyone’s anxious to see the decorations today!
Even the boats were decorated with festive names. We saw Icicle Irma…
…and Yule Log Lolly pull up to the docks when we were here.
Once we boarded and set off, the holiday decorations continued! The gorillas were enjoying some gifts at the campsite, and we love the touch of a Christmas wreath on the overturned car.
There were more gifts over by the explorers, but it didn’t look like they’d get a chance to open them. We’re sure the rhino and hyenas will appreciate the presents!
You probably already know about the hilarious skippers who lead your Jungle Cruise tour, right? The pun game is strong on this ride. For the holiday season, there are some new jokes as well!

Our skipper made sure to warn us about the “(Bah) Hum Bugs” and the “Fleas Navidad” along the way.

Back at the dock, we also saw that the shack had a lot of decorations, including bells, lights, and a Christmas tree.
Head to the Jungle Cruise ride now (sorry, the Jingle Cruise) to check out all the festive decor! And keep following DFB for more updates on the holidays in Disney World.
