Earlier this week, the new Pelican’s Landing seating area by the Harbour Galley opened in New Orleans Square, allowing more Guests to be seated after picking up their food. So naturally, we stopped by to check out all of the cool details!
The seating area is located just off the path in New Orleans Square, along the Rivers of America.
There’s figures of pelicans all around of course, true to its name.
The lower seating area is only a couple of feet above the water, and has its own condiment bar and trashcans.
More pelicans adorn the signage leading to the upper seating, which is closest to Harbour Galley.
Signage adding to the story of the Sailing Ship Columbia, the Mark Twain Riverboat, and the area around Pelican’s Landing dot the waterfront.
Of course all the old details remain around the Sailing Ship Columbia’s dock, including the nod to Admiral Joe Fowler at Fowler’s Inn.
The addition of Pelican’s Landing only builds on the story of the area surrounding these older details, and we’re excited to see that thematic integrity was respected while adding more seats to Harbour Galley at the densely-packed Disneyland Park.
