PHOTOS & VIDEOS: ALL the Entertainment at EPCOT’s Festival of the Holidays

We’re comin’ to ya today from the first day of Festival of the Holidays in EPCOT. We’ve been checking out the Holiday Kitchens around the park, where you can find delicious festive snacks from around the world.

It’s Santa!

And although eating all the tasty snacks and trying holiday drinks is our favorite part of this festival, that’s not the only fun you can find here. There are activities available like Olaf’s Scavenger Hunt and the Holiday Cookie Stroll (an activity AND treats? Sign us up!), and you can also find entertainment throughout the park. Let’s take a look at ALL the entertainment available this year.

One of the biggest shows you can catch is the famous Candlelight Processional, which is returning this year with celebrity narrators.

Candlelight Processional Times

The Candlelight Processional is an annual show in EPCOT that features the retelling of the Christmas story at the American Gardens Theatre, which you can find in the American Adventure pavilion. This year’s show will have a choir and orchestra of Cast Members (instead of choirs from various groups and schools).

This is one of the highlights of the festival!

The show also features a celebrity narrator. This evening’s narrator is Auli’i Cravalho, the voice of Moana!

The Candlelight Processional is the main holiday entertainment you’ll find in EPCOT right now, but it’s definitely not the only entertainment. There are smaller shows happening all around the World Showcase that celebrate the festive traditions from countries around the world.

Joyful!

Starting in the Mexico pavilion, you can find the Las Posadas Celebration, which has dancers, piñatas, and the Mariachi Cobre band. We’ll be checking them out later!

On the Showcase Plaza Stage, you can catch JOYFUL! A Celebration of the Season, which features gospel and rhythm and blues music to celebrate Christmas and Kwanzaa.

Joyful!

If this doesn’t put you in the holiday spirit, nothing will!

The storyteller Sigrid in the Norway pavilion will be visited by the tricky Barn Santa.

Barn Santa is hilarious!

Make sure to check out the Chinese Lion Dance celebrating the New Year in the China pavilion. In Germany, Snow White is meeting guests with a new holiday look!

While over in Italy, you can meet La Befana, the kind witch who visits children on the Eve of Epiphany. This is a popular Italian holiday that takes place on January 5th to finish the 12 days of Christmas.

At the Japan Pavilion, you’ll learn the story of the Daruma from a storyteller who teaches about this Japanese totem, and you can learn about Japanese festivities surrounding the New Year!

And we also spotted Mulan in Japan, too!

She’s looking extra festive.

If you visit the area between the Morocco and France pavilions, you can check out the Hanukkah storyteller who teaches about the diverse music and traditions of this holiday.

We learned all about the Dreidel and the Dreidel song!

Guests can visit Père Noël, the French equivalent of Santa Claus, in the France pavilion. He’ll be reading the letter of a child and their holidays wishes.

The United Kingdom pavilion will be home to Father Christmas, who’s the Santa Claus from across the pond! And the Canadian Holiday Voyageurs will be up on stage over in the Canada pavilion, celebrating the various holiday traditions across Canada.

Santa Claus will be getting ready for Christmas outside the American Adventure pavilion. He’ll be there from now until December 24th.
