Various Disney World restaurants, hotels, and more have reopened over the past few months, and more are set to reopen soon!
Earlier today, we shared that Boatwright’s Dining Hall at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — Riverside will be reopening on December 14th, 2021. When it reopens, some things will be a bit different about its menu. Here are all the updates you need to know about.
The updated menu for Boatwright’s features a few price increases, the removal of select items, and the addition of some items. Here’s what we’re seeing.
Items That Have Been Removed

- Turbodog Barbecued Ribs

- It appears the ability to add Crawfish Macaroni & Cheese or Lump Crab Cakes to any Entree for $10 has been removed

- Traditional House-Made Bread Pudding

- Celery and Carrot Sticks with Fat-Free Ranch Dressing
- Grilled Mahi Mahi

- Side — Buttered Elbow Pasta
- Side/Dessert option — Cupcake
- Light Lemonade served in a souvenir character cup with glowing character clip-on light

- Boudin Balls — A mix of Andouille Sausage, Smoked Sausage, and Dirty Rice Breaded and Fried. Served with Remoulade, Creole Mustard, and Pickled Vegetables — $13

- Banana Cream Pie Bread Pudding — House-made Bread Pudding with Fresh Bananas, Vanilla Creme Anglaise, Caramel Sauce, Bourbon-soaked Golden Raisins and Vanilla Ice Cream — $7
Kids Menu
- Grilled Fish Served with choice of (2) selections and choice of Small Lowfat Milk, Small Dasani Bottled Water, or Small Minute Maid Apple Juice — $12 (Previously Grilled Mahi Mahi was listed on the kids menu but it appears it is now replaced with the more general “grilled fish” offering)
- Pasta With Marinara Served with choice of (2) selections and choice of Small Lowfat Milk, Small Dasani Bottled Water, or Small Minute Maid Apple Juice — $10 (this appears to have replaced the Turkey Marinara with Pasta)
- Side — Mixed Fruit Cup
- Zero Sugar Lemonade with Flavors of Cotton Candy served in a souvenir character cup — $6.50
Drinks
- EARidescent Sip-a-bration: Minute Maid Premium Lemonade and Fruity Strawberry Punch, served in a souvenir 50th Celebration cup with a surprise character and a little bit of magic — $10
- Zero sugar lemonade
Price Increases
Appetizers
- French Onion Soup Au Gratin — was $9, price increased to $10
- Mardi Gras Fritters — was $10, price increased to $12
- Amelia’s Salad — was $9, priced increased to $10
Entrees
- All-You-Can-Eat Chef’s Platter — was $33, price increased to $35
- Boatwright’s Jambalaya — was $19, price increased to $21
- Boatwright’s Harvest Jambalaya — was $19, price increased to $21 (the item is now also specifically noted as being plant-based)
- General Fulton’s Prime Rib — was $35, price increased to $36
- Deep South Shrimp & Grits — was $23, price increased to $24
Other Menu Changes
Appetizers
- Amelia’s Salad — The Eggplant “Bacon” appears to have been removed from the salad description and replaced with Rainbow Carrots. The dish is also now identified as being plant-based.
Entrees
- The “Big Easy” was described as a 10oz Grilled New York Strip with Crawfish Macaroni & Cheese, Seasonal Vegetables, and a Blackberry Port Demi and was priced at $36. The menu now appears to simply describe it as “The Big Easy with Dirty Rice, Seasonal Vegetables, Pickled Onions and Brown Butter Beurre Blanc” and it is priced at $26.
- The Nashville Hot Chicken used to come with house-made bread and butter pickles. The description now notes that they come with “house pickles.”
- The Deep South Shrimp & Grits used to come with a Red Eye Gravy. Now, the menu describes it as coming with a Spicy Cream Sauce.
Desserts
- It appears the dessert menu itself is now called “A Finale from the D’Sert Sisters”
- Mississippi Mud Creme Brûlée — It used to be described as a Chocolate Brûlée with a Chocolate Shortbread Cookie. Now, it is described as a Chocolate Creme Brûlée with Chocolate Ganache, Chocolate Gluten-Friendly Shortbread Cookie, Garnished with Fresh Strawberries and More Ganache.
- Pean Pie Cheesecake — It used to be described as a Creamy Cheesecake with a Pecan Pie filling topped with Vanilla Chantilly Cream and Spiced Candied Pecans. Now, the menu describes it as a Pecan Pie Cheesecake with a Pecan-Graham Cracker Crust and notes that it is a Creamy Vanilla Cheesecake with a Pecan Pie filling, Bourbon-Caramel sauce, and spicy candied pecans.
Kids Menu
- The grilled chicken is no longer described as being “skewers”
Drinks
- The Sazerac is no longer made with Bulleit Rye Small Batch American Whiskey, but instead is made with Sazerac Knob Creek Rye.
And that’s a brief look at the menu changes being made at Boatwright’s! Of course, this is just what we’re seeing in terms of the menu changes, but things are subject to change again.
