REVIEW: Disney World’s New Milkshake Left Us Confused and Broke

We’ve seen a TON of things return to Disney World this year!

You can meet Mickey again!

Restaurants have reopened, pre-shows came back, and there are even modified character meet and greets again. But, some things still haven’t come back, like the Cirque du Soleil shows in Disney Springs. The new show, Drawn to Life, was set to officially debut in Spring 2020, but then Disney World was shut down and the show was put on hold. But now, the show is finally about to be availableopening night is this Thursday, November 18th! And, one sweet spot in Disney Springs is celebrating with a NEW dessert.

This is the Cirque Du Shake from Vivoli il Gelato in Disney Springs! It has strawberry gelato, cookies and cream gelato, a waffle cone that is half dipped in white chocolate and has gold shimmer dust, chocolate sauce, and whipped cream.

There’s a lot going on here!

Plus, there are sprinkles, a strawberry, two lollipops, a pinwheel, and an umbrella on top!

This is so fun!

We did think this was cute, but it did melt quickly, so it didn’t stay cute for long!

It’s melting! It’s melting!

Also, be conscious of the wind if you’re outside, because if it’s not cooperating, that could cause some issues for your pinwheel.

Can’t talk right now, we’re worried about the structural integrity of our pinwheel

The combo of the strawberry and cookie and cream gelato was really good! But, at $18, we can’t say everything else it comes with is worth that price tag.

$18 for a milkshake is pretty significant!

The 2 lollipops have plastic on the outside of them, so you could save them for later…but the sticks are all covered in milkshake, so you would have to clean them up first.

Lollipops floating in the shake

The waffle cone is only partially dipped in white chocolate, so the part that’s not got soggy and started to sink down into the shake. Plus, the part that was covered in white chocolate was way too sweet for us!

We don’t want a soggy cone!

This is more of a treat we could see kids loving since it’s so extravagant, but that high price tag might make parents have some second thoughts about buying it! If you’re on a budget, we wouldn’t recommend you splurge on this treat. There are better options in Disney World, like the Reindeer Mousse over in Hollywood Studios!

So cute!!

We’ll save our money next time for some Drawn to Life tickets, which are on sale right now. Stay tuned to DFB for more Disney food news, reviews, and updates.
