REVIEW: The Goofiest Cupcake We’ve Seen Lately in Disney World

Thanksgiving is coming up, folks!

The Edison Thanksgiving Dinner

We are READY for some turkey, dressing, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie (and, like, 1000 other sides). Disney World has some seasonal food they put out for the holiday, like traditional Thanksgiving dinners and some twists on the classics. And, there is a returning treat at one of the Disney World hotels that is sure to make ya gobble.

The Thanksgiving Turkey Cupcake is back at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort! We saw this guy last year at Captain Cook’s, and now he’s back again. But, there are a few different ingredients!

Look at how silly this thing is

This is a chocolate cupcake topped with orange, yellow, and brown vanilla butter cream and edible glitter, with two sugar candy eyes. The cupcake is then filled with a hazelnut ganache, marshmallows, and walnuts. YUM! Last year, there was chocolate ganache and chocolate chips inside.

So bright!

Okay, let’s talk about the elephant — uh, turkey in the room…this little dude looks so goofy! He looks like he’s either rolling his eyes or VERY startled, and it almost seems like there’s a worried expression on his face (which is understandable, considering we’re about eat him).

Gobble gobble

The actual cupcake, minus the icing, isn’t too sweet and the flavors are really nice together.

Turkey, anyone?

But, we do think they could’ve used some more fall flavors like pumpkin.

Very colorful!

The icing is suuuuper sweet though! And it WILL stain your mouth red.

Beauty shot

The different textures on the inside are really great in this cupcake. The crunch of the walnuts, softness of the marshmallows, and the gooey ganache all work well together!

Ooey gooey

If you’re allergic to nuts, do NOT get this one! And, be extra careful, because this cupcake didn’t have any info on it that said there were nuts inside. We actually didn’t know there were walnuts in the center until we cut into it.

Mini marshmallows hiding in there

If you don’t like things that are overly sweet, we wouldn’t recommend this guy. But, if you love chocolate and nuts and want some super cute pictures of this goofy looking turkey, go pick it up from the Polynesian!

Some dessert for Thanksgiving!

You can get the cupcake right now until November 30th for $5.99. Stay tuned to DFB for more Disney food reviews and news.
