REVIEW: The Spaceship Earth Cookie is BACK in EPCOT

It’s the first day of EPCOT’s Festival of the Holidays and we’re here checking out all the Holiday Kitchens, entertainment like the Candlelight Processional, and more.

Holiday Hearth Desserts!

We’ve already had some delicious food today. We tried the crazy delicious food at Chestnuts & Good Cheer and the cheesy goodness of Bavaria Holiday Kitchen Now, it’s time to try another Holiday Kitchen — Holiday Hearth!

Menu

Holiday Hearth was a new booth last year, so it had a lot of new treats! There is only one new item this year, the Cinnamon Apple Cider. But, we’re totally okay with the returning food and drinks, because it’s a whole lot of sweet stuff! Here’s a look at what’s available:

2021 Menu

There are also two returning drinks this year:

  • Hot Cocoa (nonalcoholic) – $3.50
  • Cinnamon Apple Cider (Non-alcoholic; New Item) – $3.75
  • Cocoa Candy Cane: Hot cocoa with peppermint schnapps – $12.00

Food

Holiday Hearth also brought back the super fun Salted Caramel Spaceship Earth Cookie. Look at how cute this cookie is! Last year, it had an angel or holly on top. The one we got this year had the holly! It has salted caramel filling inside a crispy cookie with a sugar coating on top. You basically get two cookies with this treat! This hefty treat is VERY sweet because of the combo of sugar coating and caramel filling. We didn’t seem to love it as much as we did last year.

If you’re doing the Holiday Cookie Stroll, you can get the Gingerbread Cookie over here as part of your journey! Don’t expect anything particularly special from this cookie — it was pretty bland and unless you’re trying to finish the Holiday Cookie Stroll, you might want to stroll away from this cookie.

Drinks

Time for the only new item over here — the Cinnamon Apple Cider! This is non-alcoholic and was surprisingly cold (we had expected this to be a hot cider, which is typical for the holidays). This was basically a cinnamony apple juice, which is tasty, just not what we think of when we think holiday cider.

Overall

Overall, this is the booth to be at if you have a sweet tooth! However, if you’re not looking for a super sweet treat, there’s not much to see at this booth in our opinion. Both of the cookies we tried let us down and the cold cider was pretty confusing to us; this booth wasn’t a winner for us. If you’re looking for a good sweet treat from this booth, check out the Red Velvet Mini Bundt Cake, Snowball Cookies, Peppermint Bark, or Mouse Crunch, all of which we’ve enjoyed in the past. If you want something more unique, check out the Dole Whip Cake or the Glazed Nuts at the festival!
