Happy holidays, and more importantly, a happy start to the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays! Santa may eat a ton of cookies, but at DFB, we eat a ton of festival foods. Does that mean we’re magical, too? Either way, we’re hungry, and there are tons of snacks and treats to try!
There are some returning favorites and new foods to check out in the World Showcase this year, so today we’re checking out the Mele Kalikimaka food booth. This booth was brand new last year, so let’s see how year 2 is going for team tropical Christmas.
If you’re anything like us, you can’t help but sing Mele Kalikimaka as you read the name of Disney’s Hawaiian Christmas-themed festival food booth.
Now, let’s see what this booth has on the menu this year.
Menu
The menu includes three returning items, including Kālua Pork, Lomi Lomi Salmon, and Haupia. There’s also a Hawaiian Pale Wheat Ale.
We tried the Kālua Pork at this booth last year and LOVED it. There are also some returning drinks, like the Melon Breeze with Spiced Rum and the Florida Orange Groves Sparkling Pineapple Wine.

Food
First, let’s talk about the Kalua Pork, which is served with Okinawa purple sweet potatoes and mango salad for $5.25. We tried this dish last year and thought it was colorful, tender, and delicious! The pork is amazing, although we could’ve done with a little more mango.
Moving on, there’s the Lomi Lomi Salmon for $6. This dish is served with tomatoes, onions, salmon roe, Yuzu mayonnaise, and Yucca chips. Last year, we felt that the portion size was a little small, but the chips were nice and crispy, and the salmon was delicious.
Don’t worry, we didn’t forget about dessert! At this booth, you can try the Haupia, a Hawaiian coconut pudding with candied Macadamia nuts and coconut for $4.50. This was another favorite of ours last year, with a nice, light cake and very coconut-y pudding on top.
This dessert is a great option if you’re looking for a holiday treat that’s not too heavy!
Beverages
All that food needs a nice drink to go with it! The Melon Breeze with Spiced Rum is a returning drink, which you can get for $14. We thought this drink was super sweet last year, but it has a strong melon flavor that we thought was delicious.
The Florida Orange Grove Sparkling Pineapple Wine is also back this year, and it’s available for $12. It was a super refreshing drink, which is perfect for a warm day in EPCOT.
There’s also a NEW Mai Time Wheat Ale from the Kona Brewing Co., which is available as a 6 oz drink for $5 or a 12 oz drink for $9. If you want to try out these tropical foods and drinks, visit the Mele Kalikimaka booth at the Festival of the Holidays today through December 30th, 2021.
Overall
In general, the Mele Kalikimaka booth has some really tasty snacks and refreshing drinks. The flavors you’ll find here aren’t like any of the other booths around EPCOT, so it’s a fun stop if you like to try different kinds of food from around the world. We love the Kalua pork and Haupia, so if you just try a couple of things, we recommend those! And the light flavors make this one of the best choices for a hot day in EPCOT when you don’t really want heavy food or hot drinks.
Head in today to Mele Kalikimaka to find the most tropical holiday food in EPCOT! And keep following DFB for more updates as we keep eating our way around the world.
