ViacomCBS Networks International (VCNI) has acquired a majority stake in Fox TeleColombia and Estudios TeleMexico, both owned by The Walt Disney Company.

ViacomCBS International Studies (VIS) will operate Fox TeleColombia and Estudios TeleMexico in collaboration with their founding family. VCNI will have access to the studio operations in Mexico and Colombia.

The acquisition is expected to increase the production of Spanish-language content by ViacomCBS.

ViacomCBS will also have access to the content from Fox TeleColombia and Estudios TeleMexico, which could go on the Pluto TV and Paramount+ streaming platforms, bolstering their portfolio for competition against Disney+ and other streaming services.
