We’re Re-Naming Disney World’s New Cocktail “The Holiday Confusion”

When it comes to Disney World cocktails, it seems like there are endless options to choose from!

The Holidays are Here!

Although Disney World is notorious for its love for blue curaçao in drinks (yep, we’ve had blue tropical drinks for Halloween), we’ve come across some amazing boozy creations. This includes boozy Dole Whip concoctions, tropical drinks in a pineapple, orange creamsicle shakes, and more! However, the holidays have arrived, so it’s time for some holiday cocktails!

Disney World released a full list of holiday treats and drinks coming to the parks and resorts, and we’re at Disney’s Hollywood Studios checking out the new options! One of these is the Holiday Bliss drink, which is available at both the Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge and Tune-In Lounge (which is attached to 50’s Prime Time Cafe).

Tune-In Lounge

The drink is made with Vanilla Vodka, Sour Apple Pucker, Caramel Beverage Syrup, and Vanilla Ice Cream Mix. It’s also got two raspberries to garnish and a peppermint rim. It sounds delicious and looks great, but how does it taste?

Holiday Bliss

As gorgeous as this drink is, we have to admit that the flavor wasn’t our favorite.

So pretty!

Specifically, the combination of a LOT of strong flavors was strange, since none of them really seemed to go together.

Not as tasty as it is pretty

We get what they were trying to do (like a vanilla-flavored caramel apple?), but it didn’t work out very well in our opinion. The peppermint rim might have been what pushed it over the edge since that added yet another flavor into the mix.

There’s a lot going on here

But if you love sweet drinks and some unique combinations, this might be just the drink for you! And honestly, the more we drank, the better the drink got. So it wasn’t all bad! (Or maybe the vodka was just starting to kick in…your call. 😉)

Holiday Bliss Cocktail

You can grab this cocktail for $14 from now through January 3rd, so there’s plenty of time to stop by Hollywood Studios and try it out! If you aren’t ready to give up the tropical flavors, head to Tambu Lounge or Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort for some incredible year-round tropical drinks.
