What’s New at Magic Kingdom: An Insta-Worthy Ice Cream Cone and a SLIMY Dessert

What’s up DFB friends! It’s time for another edition of what’s new at Magic Kingdom!

Magic Kingdom

This past few days we’ve seen some new foods, more construction, and even the Main Street Philharmonic Band performing in front of Cinderella Castle! Let’s get into it.

Magic Kingdom Food Updates

The Opening Day Celebration Cake debuted in Magic Kingdom! We found it at the Main Street Bakery (also known as Starbucks) on Main Street, U.S.A.. This new treat is made with a gluten-friendly chocolate cake base, milk chocolate mousse, and a strawberry center, topped with balloon sprinkles and a chocolate piece on the end.

We loved the flavors of this cake, but the texture was a little…well, slimy. It costs $6.99 at Main Street Bakery!

Now at Storybook Treats is the new Seven Dwarfs Specialty Cone for $5.99, and it has an unexpected ice cream flavor! This new cone is made with cranberry-vanilla soft-serve ice cream, decorated with a chocolate belt buckle and a chocolate Grumpy face.

Seven Dwarfs Cranberry Cone

We enjoyed this cone! The cranberry flavor was refreshing, and it wasn’t overwhelming or super strong. Find it at Storybook Treats in Fantasyland!

Magic Kingdom Construction Updates

Construction continues at Mickey’s PhilharMagic in Fantasyland. The attraction is scheduled to reopen on November 12th with a new scene from Coco, and the sign has returned to the attraction!

The sign is back!

We can’t wait to see the new Coco scene debut, so stay tuned to DFB for more updates!

Magic Kingdom Various Updates

The Main Street Philharmonic Band performed in front of Cinderella Castle! Usually, you can find the marching band performing on Main Street, U.S.A..

Main Street Philharmonic Band

They performed ragtime songs, show tunes, and classic Disney songs, which is their usual set. We aren’t yet sure if this is a permanent change or just a temporary change of scenery.
