Would You Pay $5,000 For a Fine Dining Experience in Disney World?!

Dining at Disney World can get pretty pricey, especially if you’ve got reservations at a couple of the signature restaurants in the parks.

Disney Springs

If you’re visiting Le Cellier, Hollywood Brown Derby, California Grill, or another of Disney’s signature restaurants, be prepared for some very delicious food and a fairly high number on that check at the end. But there’s one restaurant in Disney World that’s coming out with a totally new dining experience, and the cost of this meal might shock you.

Not all the best restaurants are in the Disney World park and hotels. You can find some amazing dining at Disney Springs as well.

Disney Springs

One popular restaurant in Disney Springs is Morimoto Asia, which serves Pan-Asian dishes created by Iron Chef Morimoto. We recently attended a Ramen Rumble event at this restaurant, where guests had the chance to bid on items and try out some different varieties of ramen, with the proceeds from the event going to charity.

But the newest dining experience at Morimoto Asia is quite a bit more exclusive than that. Chef Masaharu Morimoto is hosting an event called Yamazaki 55 Momokase, which is named after the “oldest and most rare Japanese whisky – Yamazaki 55.” There are only 200 bottles of this whisky, and one is being served at a high-end dining experience in Disney Springs.

Yamazaki 55 Momokase

On December 4th at 7:30PM, Morimoto Asia will host 14 guests for a “multi-course dining experience, with a menu fully customized and served by Chef Morimoto.” Each course is paired with a different kind of Yamazaki whisky, and it all culminates with a tasting of the Yamazaki 55.

Guests will also get a souvenir Yamazaki 55 glass to take home. So how much will this luxurious evening set you back? Morimoto Asia is charging $5,055 per seat.

It’s clever that they incorporated the 55 from the whiskey into the price…but $5,000?? You could have quite a few fine dining experiences in Disney World for the cost of one meal here. But it is a once-in-a-lifetime kind of event, hosted by Chef Morimoto himself, so if you’re passionate about Asian dining and especially Japanese whisky, this might be just the event for you.

If you’re hoping to reserve a seat, you can head to Morimoto Asia’s website to make your reservation. And keep following DFB for more updates and tips about dining in Disney World.
