24 Videos to Watch if You Wish You Were at Disney World for Christmas

We’re just ONE day away from Christmas, and you can feel the holiday magic in Disney World!

Decorations are up, merchandise is out, and snacks are ALL OVER THE PLACE this time of year. But if you can’t make it to Disney World, don’t worry, we’ve got something special for you! Enjoy these 24 videos of Disney World in honor of Christmas Eve. 

First of all, let’s head over to YouTube, where we shared our thoughts on the best things to eat at the 2021 EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. The festival runs until December 30th and we ate our way around the World Showcase on the first day, then made a list of all our favorites.

But the Festival of the Holidays wasn’t the only seasonal event we attended. We also shared a great recap from the first-ever Disney Very Merriest After Hours! Even though it wasn’t the same as Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, it was definitely the superior After Hours event (at least in Disney World) and we had a BLAST on opening night.

Looking for some holly jolly atmosphere videos? Well, let’s start with Sunset Seasons Greetings, the projection show at night on the Tower of Terror. The show features all kinds of fun elements like lasers and even a “snoap” finale!

But Hollywood Studios isn’t the only park to get projections! The Tree of Life at Animal Kingdom has been offering holiday-themed “awakenings” each night that are truly magical.

Animal Kingdom is also home to the adorably precious Merry Menagerie puppets during the holiday season. You can catch them on Discovery Island during the daytime, and we had some very special and memorable interactions with them this year.

At Disney Very Merriest After Hours, we got to enjoy a dazzling performance of Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks. This show is seriously stunning!

Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade also returned this year, marking the first time that a full-scale parade has been in Disney World since the pandemic. Tears may have been shed.

Okay, tears were definitely shed.

And also at the holiday After Hours, we got a brand-new stage show, celebrating all the holiday shows of years past. We could’ve watched this all night!

We, of course, had to stop and say hello to Winnie the Pooh and Tigger during the night. How cute are they in their little scarves?!

And we’ll take any opportunity that we can to bust a move with Stitch! (Our time at Club Tinsel was well spent!)

And what’s one of our favorite parts of any holiday party at Magic Kingdom? Snoap! There’s just something special about watching it “snow” on Main Street, U.S.A..

We had plenty of fun outside of the Disney Very Merriest After Hours as well, though. Magic Kingdom transformed overnight and on November 1st, it was ready to go in FULL holiday mode. There’s nothing quite like that first walk through a decorated park.

And as we always do, we ate some really yummy holiday treats this year. There were dozens to try around the parks, resorts, and Disney Springs. There were some great options in EPCOT…

Over at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, the Gingerbread House is FINALLY back after a hiatus in 2020. This lifesize house isn’t just a killer photo op, either — you can buy several different classic treats here as well.

Heading back to EPCOT, we waited SO LONG for Figment to get his holiday sweater look at Journey Into Imagination. We kept checking back daily, and finally, he went full Mariah Carey mode! Is this the best holiday overlay? We’ll let you be the judge.

The Candlelight Processional is back at the Festival of the Holidays this year! This show runs multiple times a night and features a celebrity narrator telling the story of the birth of Jesus, alongside a soundtrack of Christmas music performed by the Voices of Liberty and a Cast Member choir. We stopped by to watch when Moana herself was narrating!
