Magic Kingdom
- This morning, we found out that “Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade” at the Magic Kingdom features a Lightning Lane viewing area.
- Of course that offering was meaningless to many guests who found out the hard way that slots were overbooked and they were unable to view the parade.
- Nonetheless, you can check out photos and a full video of “Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade”, the first daytime parade since March 2020, here.
- Also making the transition to normal operating hours is the “Mickey & Minnie’s Very Merry Memories” stage show at Cinderella Castle.
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels

Disney Springs
- Jaleo by José Andrés made a few changes to their menu this week, including some new tapas and dessert offerings.
Other Walt Disney World News
- Select 50th Anniversary food and beverage items are being discontinued around Walt Disney World on January 9 to be replaced with new offerings.
- Walt Disney World will audition performers “with experience on trampolines”.
Disneyland Resort
- Park Pass availability for all four tiers of Magic Key have been replenished through March 2022 at Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure.
Disneyland Paris
- Disneyland Paris today previewed their entry structure for the esplanade area between Disneyland Paris and Walt Disney Studios.
- The France resort is also preparing for the possibility of closing their gates once again as the Omicron variant of COVID-19 spreads globally.
New Merchandise
- A mauve purple sequined Spirit Jersey for the 50th Anniversary of Walt Disney World arrived today!
- Also new in 50th Anniversary merchandise is a Reyn Spooner button-up shirt that we found at Walt Disney World.
- Wishables Wednesday came around once more with a slew of new offerings, including series themed to “The Lion King” and “Fantasmic!”, a and Christmas 12-day countdown calendar… three days before Christmas.
- nuiMO’s aren’t left out of the mix today either, with new figures and costumes available including for New Year’s 2022 at Walt Disney World.
- The merchandise roundup for today features some nods to old VHS releases, a Woody shoulder plush, and much more!

- Marvel Studios today released the first teaser trailer and poster for “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”, opening in theaters on May 6, 2022.
The Walt Disney Company
- As executive shakeups continue at The Walt Disney Company, today they announced that Horacio Gutierrez will become their General Counsel and Secretary.
