PHOTOS: Concrete Supports Installed at ‘Moana’ Journey of Water in EPCOT

There has been significantly more visible construction at Journey of Water in EPCOT in recent weeks. The new walkthrough attraction is inspired by “Moana” and will be part of the World Nature neighborhood.

A new structure is taking shape in one of the excavated areas, with a concrete base and wood supports.

More concrete supports have appeared nearby in different shapes and sizes.

They sit in another excavated area slightly lower than the rest of the ground and surrounded by temporary fencing.

Further along is another deep trench in the ground.

This child-friendly attraction will feature several water features. It was originally expected to open this year but will now likely open in 2022.
