Some Disney merchandise only pops up for a very limited time and can be difficult to grab.
Some of the items that tend to be very popular in Disney World are the specially themed popcorn buckets. During Halloween this past year, we saw a VERY cool Mickey Mummy popcorn bucket released in Disneyland and (eventually) in Disney World. But if you didn’t get the chance to snatch up this beauty while it was in the parks, we’ve got a secret spot where you might want to look!
We first heard about this Mickey mummy popcorn bucket back in August. Then we got the chance to see it in person in Disneyland in September. Disney had indicated that the popcorn bucket would be coming to Disney World, so we searched for it throughout the Halloween season. And we searched, and we searched. We FINALLY found this beauty over at Disney Springs in early October, just a few weeks before the end of the Halloween season.
And this buddy was POPULAR. The lines to get this little friend in Disney Springs wrapped throughout the shopping and dining district when we first found him. We totally get it. The popcorn bucket has an adorable Mickey mummy design, giving off all the fun but also spooky vibes.
It also has a fun strap and would qualify for $2 popcorn refills throughout your trip. Pretty sweet!
This specialty bucket was priced at $20 in Disney World. But just as the Halloween season came and went, so did this popcorn bucket. We thought we had said “goodbye” to Mummy Mickey for this year, but we were WRONG.
Earlier today we stopped by the Disney outlet store (Disney’s Character Warehouse) located at the Orlando Vineland Premium Outlets and we found our little Mummy popcorn friend! In fact, we found quite a lot of them!
The popcorn buckets were all wrapped up individually and ready to be taken home for all kinds of Halloween fun year-round.
And the best part?! Though this buddy doesn’t come with any popcorn, he’s priced at $14.99, so you miss out on the popcorn but also get a little bit of a reduction in price.
We’ve seen some interesting stuff pop up in the Disney outlet stores before (including a mug from the 2020 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party that never was). It’s a good reminder that even when a Disney item seems to have gone away, you might see it pop up in some other places, so always keep those eyes open!
We’ll continue to keep an eye out for more Disney merchandise news and we’ll share that all with you. Check back for more updates!
