We’ve faced all kinds of weather in Disney World over the years.
From Florida humidity that makes you feel like you’re walking around in a sauna all day, to hurricanes, to torrential downpours, and more, we’ve really seen it all. But, today we arrived at the parks to some weather that we don’t normally encounter in Florida!
We rolled up to Disney’s Hollywood Studios bright and early this morning, but things weren’t particularly…bright. Instead, the sky was grey, cloudy, and SUPER foggy! So foggy in fact, that we had to wait a little while in line before we could even see the parking entrance.
And, once we entered the fog, it was a long time before we could get out! It was just as dreary at the park entrance…
…and on Hollywood Boulevard we could just barely make out the Chinese Theater (home of Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway).
While this is normally the time that you’d want to save your family pictures for later, the one spot that the fog did actually seem to fit in was over at Tower of Terror. The top of the building was pretty hazy, so this was a very rare opportunity to get pictures with The Hollywood Tower Hotel looking extra spooky.
Over at Magic Kingdom, conditions weren’t looking much better. Our walk to the Transportation and Ticket Center felt extra long this morning as we made our way through the fog…
…and Cinderella Castle wasn’t making as much of a statement as it normally does at the end of Main Street, U.S.A.
But, luckily the fog didn’t last all that long! Weather conditions cleared up within the hour of the parks opening, giving us a great view of Mickey’s Celebration Cavalcade!
So, you really never know what kind of weather you might encounter on your day in Disney World! Of course, we’re always keeping an eye out for the latest weather updates that you need to know for your trip (and providing you with the BEST tips to face them), so be sure to stay tuned to DFB!
