Since “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” began in October, Walt Disney World has been hit with waves of new merchandise for its 50th anniversary, but the latest offering is a heavy hitter!
The MaDe kiosk at Tomorrowland Light & Power Co. at the Magic Kingdom now offers six new designs of commemorative bricks for the big 5-0.
Like the other designs, these are inspired by the former Walk Around the World bricks that used to line the walkways around the entrance to the Magic Kingdom and the Transportation and Ticket Center.
Each design is available with or without customizable text.
For a timeless look, one brick features the 50th anniversary logo in an EARidescent gold with the classic Walt Disney World wordmark.
Another features the icons of each of the resort’s four theme parks in the EARidescent color scheme used during the celebration, accented with plenty of colorful stars.
Each park icon is also available individually, with the modern wordmark and a “50” underneath.
The Magic Kingdom’s brick features Cinderella Castle, surrounded by Dumbo and the Orange Bird.
The stately icon of EPCOT, Spaceship Earth, appears with a Test Track “SIM Car” and Figment.
The brick for Disney’s Hollywood Studios mixes classic and recently-added offerings, with The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror flanked by Chuuby from Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, and Waldo from Muppet*Vision 3D.
Finally, Disney’s Animal Kingdom’s Tree of Life stars on its brick with two of the stars from “The Lion King,” young Simba, and Zazu.
Each design is available in two sizes: $29.99 for a 6-inch brick, and $49.99 for an 8-inch brick.
For another displayable souvenir, check out this new Thomas Kinkade art print, which features Cinderella Castle decked out for the 50th anniversary celebration!
