“Harry Potter” fans rejoice: new Wizarding World content is here. A new teaser trailer was released today for the upcoming film “Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore,” with a full trailer coming on Monday, December 13.
The Fandango feature begins with a look back at the Wizarding World franchise, including films, games, and fans. It leads into a teaser for the new film, which arrives in theaters on April 15, 2022.
Eddie Redmayne returns as Newt Scamander, with Dan Fogler (Jacob Kowalski) and Callum Turner (Theseus Scamander) also reprising their roles. In the previous film, newcomer Jessica Williams made a cameo as Ilvermorny Professor Eulalie Hicks and will have an expanded role in the new movie.
The teaser also gives fans a first look at Mads Mikkelsen as Gelert Grindelwald — a role he takes over from Johnny Depp and Colin Farrell.
The eponymous Dumbledore is once again played by Jude Law.
Watch the feature below. The teaser begins at 1:40.
Permits were recently filed for Universal’s upcoming theme park Epic Universe that are thought to be for a new “Harry Potter” themed land. The land is rumored to be inspired by the Fantastic Beasts series.
