We love us some Disney dogs!
Obviously we love Pluto, Goofy, Nana, Bolt, a TON of Dalmatians, a Lady, a Tramp, and even the little footstool from Beauty and the Beast, but to be honest, our favorite has to be Disney World Corn Dog Nuggets! We’ve been a fan of this iconic Casey’s Corner snack for what feels like forever and we’re always on the lookout for corn dog nuggs in unexpected places, which is why we’re trying some at…a gas station?!
Corn Dog Nuggets are an issue that we take really seriously over here, and it’s our mission to investigate every single place that adds corn dog nuggs to the menu in or around the Disney parks! The latest corn dog nuggets popped up just outside of the Magic Kingdom at the Speedway Gas Station.
Of course, we had to order them with a side of cheese to see how they match up against Casey’s Corner’s Corn Dog Nuggets, and at $2.99 for the corn dogs and $0.59 for the cheese sauce, it is a significantly cheaper option that doesn’t require a parks ticket. The small order gets you 6 corn dog nuggets, and the large gets you 12, which for a dollar extra, is a steal!
Here’s the full menu of snacks you can get at Speedway! We were also able to order on these touch screens.
The process was super easy, and in no time we had Corn Dog Nuggets! Here’s what everything we got looked like, but let’s see how it tasted!
If you’re expecting the exact same Corn Dog Nuggets you can find in the parks, you might be a bit disappointed. These nuggets were still hot and fresh when we got them, but they were definitely different than the classic Disney ones.
The cheese sauce we got was also a little different than advertised. They were out of the cheese sauce when we went, so we were given little cups for nacho cheese. The nuggets themselves weren’t as good as the Disney ones, but they did remind us of something… .
A few years back, Casey’s Corner swapped out their regular beef corn dog nuggets for chicken ones, and they looked…sickly to say the least. The taste wasn’t awful, but we’ve come to expect nothing but the best when it comes to corn dog nuggs at Casey’s. Thankfully, those corn dog nuggets were swapped out for the regular ones shortly after. The nuggets we tried at Speedway were super similar to the weird Casey’s ones.
However, if you were a fan of the short-lived chicken corn dog nuggets, then these might be right up your alley! The hot dog seemed to be made out of chicken or turkey.
Overall, if you’re loyal to Disney corn dog nuggets, these might be a disappointment, but if you’re a corn dog connoisseur, then give these a try! We probably won’t be heading back any time soon because we didn’t feel too hot after eating these, but try them and let us know what you think!
