Magic Kingdom
- Rumors suggest that TRON Lightcycle Run may not open until well into 2022 or even until 2023.
- Sponsorship of the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover shifted today from Alamo Rent-a-Car to Enterprise Rent-a-Car.
- Even more entrance canopy pieces were installed on TRON Lightcycle Run as construction slowly drags out.
EPCOT
- Disney announced via an exclusive interview with Entertainment Weekly that “animatronics” will be part of the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind attraction.
- Guests attending Extended Evening Hours at EPCOT can now experience Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure along with other attractions.
- We tried a rather interesting coconut-lime Dole Whip today.
- Construction is ongoing at the center of World Celebration, with work on the Connections Café and Journey of Water progressing along.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- There was a bit of a hiccup this morning at Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, which didn’t open on time.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
- As it turns out, Kali River Rapids will return from refurbishment a little early, just over a week before Christmas.
Other Walt Disney World News
- We got a first look today at the captain of the Halcyon, home to the upcoming Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser hotel.
- After a moratorium of a couple months, guests may now once again book single-night stays at Walt Disney World Resort hotels.
Disneyland Resort
- Disney Genie and Lightning Lane will officially launch December 8th at the Disneyland Resort!
- We have full details as well on the pricing and purchase limits for individual Lightning Lane attractions.
- There’s a few key differences between the Disney Genie+ and Lightning Lane systems at Walt Disney World Resort and at Disneyland Resort.
- it’s a small world Holiday has officially opened at Disneyland Park after a two-year absence and a major flood just before its planned opening last month.
- Hard ticket events will return to the Disneyland Resort next year, with Sweethearts Nite, Villains Nite, and Star Wars Nite all on the docket.
- Several Lightning Lane signs have been installed around the resort ahead of the system’s launch on Wednesday.
New Merchandise
- A new Mickey Mouse ornament themed to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge has arrived at Walt Disney World.

- New holiday items including an Apple Watch band and some figures arrived at the Disneyland Resort today.
The Walt Disney Company
- Former CEO Bob Iger shared a heartfelt letter to Disney employees and Cast Members ahead of his departure from The Walt Disney Company on December 31.
- Disney Vacation Club will switch its points exchange partner from RCI back to Interval International starting January 1, 2022.
