We’re just over six months from the maiden voyage of the Disney Wish, and we’ve been getting some fun sneak peeks from Walt Disney Imagineering as they begin putting the finishing touches on the exciting new addition to the Disney Cruise Line fleet. Just a couple weeks ago, they shared a look at the filigree ornamentation on the stern of the ship, now we have a look at the gold medallion on the bow!

A short 30-second video posted on the official Walt Disney Imagineering Instagram account shows the painting process of the signature golden medallion filigree seen on every Disney Cruise Line ship. All four previous ships have borne some variation of Mickey Mouse, making the Disney Wish the first to feature Minnie Mouse on the bow medallion filigree.

The Disney Wish makes its maiden voyage on June 9, 2022 and features the first “attraction at sea”, two new stage shows, dining experiences themed to Marvel and Star Wars, and much more.
