Magic Kingdom
- With the holiday festivities in full swing around Walt Disney World, three additional nights of Disney Very Merriest After Hours have sold out at the Magic Kingdom.

EPCOT
- With Shanghai Holiday Kitchen out of action in 2021, Lotus Blossom Café is stepping in for the first time to offer seasonal Chinese specialties during the 2021 EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays.
- Imagineers have given another look at the process behind the façade for the upcoming attraction Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- Guests can once again light up the night at Disney’s Hollywood Studios with the return of the Wonderful World of Animation and Disney Movie Magic nighttime projection shows.
- Rock Your Face, the face-painting station next to Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, has reopened.
- With mask and distancing rules being rolled back, Rey, Chewbacca, and Vi Moradi are now appearing in more locations in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
- The refurbishment for Kali River Rapids, the fan-favorite water ride in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, has just been extended to January 3, 2022 and will reopen on January 4, 2022.
Other Walt Disney World News
- Walt Disney World Transportation Cast Members were surprised to find their regular schedules scrambled with only five days’ notice, right before the start of the holiday season.
- Guests looking to make a unique memory around Walt Disney World are in luck! The popular Super Zoom Magic Shots are now available at all four of the resort’s theme parks.
- The Disney Parks official Twitter account said parking lot trams will be returning to Magic Kingdom later this month and to the rest of the Walt Disney World parks throughout next year.
Disneyland Resort
- According to the Orange County Register, “it’s a small world” is expected to reopen next week with its holiday overlay.
- The Lunar New Year celebration and Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival will be returning in 2022.
- Tickets are mostly unavailable for Disneyland Resort through the end of 2021.
- Clint Barton and Kate Bishop are now starring in their own “Hawkeye” stunt show at Avengers Campus in Disney California Adventure.
- Fall at Disneyland has brought new food to the park. So recently, we headed to Frontierland to try out the seasonal items at River Belle Terrace!
- While “A Christmas Fantasy Parade” has returned this year, you can still catch a holiday cavalcade at Disneyland Park.
New Merchandise
- Amazon is now selling two Echo Show 5 stands that will allow Disney fans to get the “Hey, Disney!” device look at home. Both 50th Anniversary and Mickey Mouse stands are available. The stands are made by Otterbox.
- A pink and gold Spirit Jersey was released at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort.
- A bumper crop of 50th anniversary ID tags have come to Walt Disney World, but the latest addition is a major nostalgia trip.
- Mobile checkout is expanding to more merchandise locations at Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort a year after the initial test launched.
- “The Lion King” Wishables arrived on shopDisney and at Disneyland Resort this Wishables Wednesday.
- Get ready for the winter with this adorable new pair of ears that we spotted in World of Disney at Disneyland Resort.
- All aboard! A new golden crossbody bag themed to the Disneyland Railroad is now available at Disney Clothiers in Disneyland Park.
