This month guests can devour these 5 new “cupcake” flavors!
Renewal Mill’s Chocolate Salted Caramel Cupcake
Renewal Mills upcycles unused flour and cake mixes to reduce food waste. Their dark chocolate mix comes from soymilk production byproducts. It features okra powder and according to Salt & Straw, produces decadent fudgy cupcakes.
Salted caramel frosting tops the cupcake before it is crumbled into fleur-de-sel oat ice cream.
Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting
For this flavor, finely shredded carrots and walnuts are baked into a spice cake that’s topped with a tangy vegan cream cheese frosting. The bakers then mix the cake into a carrot juice ice cream.
Petunia’s Rainbow Sprinkled Babycakes
This recipe utilizes of Petunia’s Pies & Pastries, a famous Portland vegan bakery. The babycakes are churned with classic vanilla oat ice cream and colorful sprinkles and red strawberry jam.
Coconut Cream Pie Cupcake With Lemon Curd
Toasted coconut cupcakes are layered into coconut ice cream with a bright yellow lemon curd.
Chocolate Hazelnut Cupcake
Roasted hazelnuts from Freddy Guy’s farm in Oregon are tucked into chocolate ice cream along with hunks of vanilla cupcakes with chocolate ganache frosting.
It’s amazing what Salt & Straw can do with vegan ingredients. Vegan Disney Parks fans will be happy to know that Salt & Straw is coming to Disney Springs as well!
