At DFB, we love the classics, and there’s nothing more classic than the original Disney park…Disneyland! Between the two parks in Anaheim, California, there is SO much to see and do! Disneyland is full of unique attractions, characters, and even festivals! Even the attractions that eventually made their way to Disney World, like “it’s a small world,” the Haunted Mansion, and Pirates of the Caribbean are actually DIFFERENT in Disneyland!

There’s one iconic attraction that is exclusive to Disneyland, though, and we have an important update to share regarding the ride. 

It’s that time of year when Disney starts to close attractions to give them a little TLC. For example, in Disney World, Splash Mountain is temporarily closed for refurbishment.

We’ve also heard that a few attractions in Disney California Adventure will be closing soon for routine maintenance, like Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind and The Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Undersea Adventure.

Now, we’ve got another scheduled closure. From February 28th to March 4th, Disney’s Matterhorn Bobsleds attraction will be closed for a temporary refurbishment. According to the Disney calendar, it is scheduled to reopen on March 5th, and we’ll continue to keep our eyes out for any changes.

As you can see, the Disneyland website is not showing any hours starting on February 28th. 

And it is listed under the refurbishment section of the calendar on those dates.

While these little refurbishments are pretty essential to keep things running smoothly, they can seriously impact your vacation if you aren’t prepared. Make sure to look at your must-ride attractions on the Disneyland website before your trip so you know what will be open during your visit!
