2022 Lunar New Year BEST OF THE FEST

Lychee Celebration from Prosperity Bao and Buns

The Lychee Celebration is made with Gin, prosecco, lychee purée, lychee syrup, grapefruit juice, and yuja. We LOVED this drink! Seriously, we thought it was so good — it’s a perfect light, sweet drink for a sunny California day!

It’s beautiful, isn’t it?

Hot tip: make sure to stir your drink around so all those delicious flavors can really work together. The Lychee Celebration is available for $14.

Honorable Mention: Prosperous Tiger from Prosperity Bao and Buns

Prosperity Bao and Buns had not one, but TWO amazing drinks this year! The Prosperous Tiger, which is Vodka, cream of coconut, bitters, triple sec, mandarin purée, and vanilla bean paste, is available for $15.

There were some GREAT drinks this year!

In our review, we mention that it tastes like a vodka creamsicle — who wouldn’t want to drink that?!

Returning Best: Mickey Chinese Hot Dog Bun from Prosperity Bao and Buns

No surprise here; this snack has made our best of the fest list before! The Mickey Chinese Hot Dog Bun is a Brioche-style Mickey-shaped bun stuffed with pieces of hot dog and topped with sesame seeds and scallions for $7.

An old favorite!

This is such a fun and unique take on your typical theme park hot dog! If you’re looking for a photogenic (and tasty) snack, give this a try!

Returning Best: Beef Bulgogi Short Rib on Rice with Green Onion Salad from Lucky Lantern

We love consistency, and we love the returning favorite Beef Bulgogi Short Rib on Rice with Green Onion Salad for $8.25. When you marinate beef in bulgogi sauce, you can expect a pretty tasty outcome, and Disney did NOT disappoint this year!

Another favorite!

We highly recommend this returning favorite if you like rice, beef, and onions (an iconic trio!).

Returning Best: Shrimp Fried Rice from Lucky Lantern

We’ve got another old favorite at the Lucky Lantern food booth! The Shrimp Fried Rice with Garlic Bacon Edamamehas fresh veggies, bacon, and savory fried rice — what more could you ask for?!

Oh, yes!

This year, the Shrimp Fried Rice is available for $8.

Salted Pistachio Cold Brew from Longevity Noodle Co.

This may sound a little outside the box, but we LOVED the Salted Pistachio Cold Brew this year! It features Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Co. French Bistro Blend Coffee, Orange Blossom Honey Syrup, Oat Milk, and Salted Pistachio Foam.

Salted Pistachio Cold Brew

Looking for a little caffeine with a unique flavor? This cold brew was nice because it wasn’t too sweet, and we liked the pistachio flavor that mixed with a slight mocha taste. Overall, it just worked! You can try it for $6.50.

Gochujang Wings from the Paradise Gardens Special Events Cart

We tend to love the Lunar New Year wings at Disney California Adventure, and the Gochujang Wings are no exception! These chicken wings are covered in a spicy Gochujang sauce and priced at $8.

GO try the Gochujang Wings!

These were the best kind of wings — the meat fell right off of the bone and the sauce was so good! Keep in mind that this snack is a little spicy, but it’s not too bad!

Honorable Mention: Baked Char Siu Bao from the Cappuccino Cart

Who would have thought that a cappuccino cart would sell such good food?! The Baked Char Siu Bao is a Chinese BBQ pork-filled baked bun that is warm, sweet, and portable!

We LOVE bao!

You can grab one for $6.50.
