It’s the first day of the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, and we’ve already been hustling (and it’s not even noon!).

So far, the hot news is that there’s a ridiculously long line to purchase the new Figment popcorn bucket that was announced a few days ago. When we arrived this morning, the line quickly started forming, and while we had to wait over an hour, the line has been predicted to be over SIX HOURS LONG now. And unfortunately, as it is with most limited-release Disney merchandise, the resellers are already taking advantage.

Before most guests have even made their way through the line, we have already spotted the Figment popcorn bucket listed on Ebay. He’s only $25 in the park, but we’re already seeing people post him for ten times that amount online.

Just look at those ridiculous prices, and all for a popcorn bucket. Every listing that we’ve seen already has multiple bids. At the time of publishing, one of them had 55 bids and was sitting at $270. 

Ebay resellers and the like have caused problems with merchandise in the past. Because of this and supply issues, we’ve seen many purchase limits added to popular items recently. Currently, guests are only allowed to buy 2 Figment popcorn buckets each.

We definitely understand that guests would want to get their hands on this bucket (he’s stinkin’ adorable), but it’s definitely a hard pill to swallow that the prices are already so high on Ebay. Hundreds of dollars? YIKES.
