If You Like Blaze Pizza, You Might Also Like Pizza Ponte in Disney World

If you’re like us, you’re always looking for more Disney World dining options, and if you’re in the mood for pizza, there are more than a few spots to choose from, whether you’re into puffy pizza, fast pizza, or Sicilian pizza.

Blaze Fast Fire’d Pizza at Disney Springs

In Disney Springs, Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza is a favorite spot for quick, delicious pizza, but it often has a long line. Pizza Ponte, which is also located in Disney Springs, is an alternative pizza spot you might not have tried. We’re here to go over both restaurants and next time you’re in Disney Springs with pizza on your mind, you might want to try Pizza Ponte!

Breaking Down the Restaurants

First, we’re overviewing both restaurants and their styles, and how to decide which pizza place is the spot for you.

Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza

Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza is a chain restaurant located in Town Center area of Disney Springs. They serve custom-built artisanal pizzas via an assembly line (like Subway) and they offer more than 40 toppings.

Locals and tourists alike love Blaze so it often has a long line, but it usually moves fairly quickly because the pizzas are cooked in 180 seconds.

Pizza Ponte

Located in the Landing of Disney Springs, Pizza Ponte features Sicilian pizza by the slice. They serve their pizza cafeteria-style, so customers are able to choose their pizza slices from pizzas that were already made.

Pizza Ponte also offers non-pizza menu items, like Italian sandwiches, pastries, desserts, and espresso.

Atmosphere

Because of Blaze’s assembly line method of making your custom pizza, the line can get long as people decide which toppings to choose.

Ordering and Assembly Line

At Pizza Ponte, customers can choose from pizzas that were already made, along with other menu items. They also have a sandwich station, where they make hand-crafted sandwiches with fresh-cut slices of meat.

Pizza Ponte

Pizza Ponte actually has a fun narrative too, with the story being that the fictional Italian immigrant couple Maria and Enzo opened the restaurant in the 1930s after the previous restaurant, Air Terminal, closed. They also opened Maria & Enzo’s Ristorante and the Prohibition-era Enzo’s Hideaway Tunnel Bar. As a result, Pizza Ponte has a lot of Art Deco and 1930s style touches.

Pizza Ponte Indoor Seating

Blaze Pizza has a more simple style, with its design inspiration being a sawmill from the 1850s. It’s bright, open, and modern. It’s also a chain restaurant, which means all Blaze Pizzas essentially have the same style, and you might even have a Blaze located in your hometown.

Both locations have indoor and outdoor seating, with a covered area with individual stools and tables at Pizza Ponte…

…and tables with bench seating at Blaze Pizza, also under cover.

With both pizza spots offering comparable seating, you can probably find a great spot at either location. And it might be fun to try out Ponte Pizza’s unique 1930s atmosphere!

Menus

The biggest difference between Blaze Pizza and Pizza Ponte is the customization options, but even without it Pizza Ponte’s options and quality of ingredients still deliver.

Pricing

At Blaze, you can get an 11-inch Build Your Own Pizza beginning at $10.45, with options to pay extra for high-rise dough, gluten-free dough, cauliflower crust, or keto crust. A 2-topping custom pizza begins at $9.95.

If you don’t want to customize your pizza, Blaze also serves Signature Pizzas beginning at $10.45 with multiple crust options for an added cost.

Pizza slices at Ponte Pizza begin at $6.95, with seven different pizza options from Four Cheese or Pepperoni to Parma Cotto.

At the sandwich station of Pizza Ponte, you can order handcrafted sandwiches beginning at $9, with the meat sliced fresh right in front of you.

Though Blaze Pizza serves some sides like dough knots, Ponte Pizza comes out on top when it comes to dessert and drink offerings. They serve an array of dessert options like Tiramisu for $8, and also drinks like espresso, beer, wine, and more.

You technically get more pizza at Blaze, but it costs $3.50 more than getting a slice at Pizza Ponte. The difference in pizza sizing (slice vs pie) makes the price difference less of an issue, but if you’re looking to save a few dollars Pizza Ponte is a great option.

Customization

Blaze Pizza’s appeal is the option for customization, which means people with special diets or allergies can more comfortably order ingredients that work for them. They also offer over 40 kinds of ingredients and toppings, including crust, sauce, cheese, meat, and veggies.

If the thought of all those options is a bit overwhelming, Pizza Ponte sells pre-made pizzas, so the choice is basically made for you.

The line at Blaze Pizza is usually longer as a result of the customization process, so one of the benefits of less customizing at Ponte Pizza is usually a short line.

Pizza Options

While Blaze’s custom pizzas are 11-inch personal pies, Ponte sells Sicilian pizza by-the-slice. Blaze’s pizzas are big enough that they could even be shared, but Pizza Ponte’s slice sizes are pretty large, which makes them filling as well.

Pizza Ponte, it should be noted, also serves up the Big Roman for $6.95 — the only triangular-shaped slices of pizza sold here. And trust us — this lives up to the “big” in it’s name! (It takes 2 paper plates to hold it all!)

BIG slices

Plus, at Pizza Ponte, you could take advantage of pizza slices and try several different kinds of pizza without having to commit to a whole pie.

Crust

Crust can be a major deciding factor of pizza, and Pizza Ponte is allll about thick crust.

So depending on your favorite pizza style (or your pizza mood!), Ponte Pizza can be an excellent alternative to Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza, especially if you’re in a rush and can’t deal with a long line for Blaze. Keep reading DFB for more Disney World restaurant and food news!

Here are 10 Disney World snacks you’ve never heard of!

Both of these dining options offer delicious and quick pizza options in Disney Springs (so you don’t need a park ticket or park pass reservation to enjoy these pies!). Blaze Pizza provides some great toppings and pizza customization options, but its popularity with locals and with its nationwide chain followers can lead to long lines, especially during peak dining hours, as guests take time to choose each topping for their individualized pizza. Pizza Ponte offers some traditional and unique takes on some GIANT pizza slices, but it is a little tucked away next to Maria & Enzo’s so guests really have to look for it.

Pizza lovers will enjoy both spots, but if you’re looking to avoid some lines and still have a great slice of pie, head over to Pizza Ponte for something a little off the beaten path. Keep reading DFB for more Disney World news!
