Disney Cruise Line vacations are fun enough on their own but if you want to add on a special “extra” element to your sailing, you could look for ones with special themed days on them — like the Marvel or Star Wars Days at Sea sailings.
We’ve seen a few different varieties of these “day at sea” offerings, but soon a brand NEW one will be available, and it’s made for a very specific group of fans!
Today Disney announced that Disney Cruise Line will be introducing a Pixar Day at Sea in 2023!
Beginning in January of 2023, “select seven-night sailings on the Disney Fantasy will include a day-long celebration dedicated to the beloved tales of Pixar.” Guests will be able to dine, sing, play, dance, and even swim with their favorite Pixar pals!
Here’s just a peek at some of the experiences guests will get to enjoy on the ship during the Pixar Day at Sea:
1 — Access to exclusive merchandise and photo opportunities
2 — A Pixar film festival
3 — Character Encounters
Disney shares that from “morning until night, your family will dance, play and interact with your favorite Pixar pals, including Woody, Buzz Lightyear and Bo Peep from ‘Toy Story’; Mike, Sulley and Boo from ‘Monsters, Inc.’; Joy and Sadness from ‘Inside Out’; Dug and Russell from ”Up’; and everyone’s favorite supers – Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl and Frozone from ‘The Incredibles.’” Sounds like the whole gang will be there!

4 — Entertainment
During the Pixar Day at Sea there will be a new nighttime spectacular where guests will need to “help the Incredibles save the day.” There will also be a “first-of-its-kind theatrical experience” that will bring the story of Coco to life with music and puppetry. And there will be a dance party bash with Pixar characters!
5 — Character Dining
During this special day, fans will also get to enjoy a “new, interactive character dining experience hosted by Sheriff Woody, Jesse and Bullseye.” This character dining will feature “sing-a-longs, cowboy serenades and all the country breakfast fixins.”
Then you’ll get to have a dinner themed to Pixar with food “inspired by the Pixar Animation Studios’ California locale.” And you’ll get to have fun over at Animator’s Palate as you are visited by some friends from Finding Nemo, including those awesome conversations with Crush.
Ready to set sail with your Pixar friends? Pixar Day at Sea will be available on 9 select Disney Fantasy cruises from January through March 2023. Be sure to check the details of the cruises before booking to make sure that the Pixar Day at Sea will be offered with the sailing you’re selecting.
