Happy New Year and welcome back to another beautiful day at the Universal Orlando Resort! The festive season is officially over and the parks will be transitioning into Universal’s Mardi Gras very shortly. Let’s jump right into some updates.
No UOAP buttons or magnets will be given out for the month of January. Team members told us to watch the Universal website as well as social media to stay updated on if or when they return. Pictured above are previous buttons given out during November of 2021.
We started our day at Universal Studios Florida, where the streets of Hollywood were pretty quiet. We aren’t complaining though.
We ran into SpongeBob and Patrick who were still in their festive outfits! We can’t believe that holidays are already over, can it just be Christmas forever?
One of the Curious George Goes To Town books has returned. The books have been missing since the play area reopened back in November.
Sadly, the second book under the entrance arch is still missing for refurbishment.
The Blues Brothers racked up quite a crowd this morning. Guests were getting down and dancing to the music to get ready for their long day at the parks!
We definitely have to get our last rides in at the Shrek 4-D attraction before it goes away forever on January 10th.
Diagon Alley wasn’t overly crowded today like it has been recently. The crowds have begun to die down again after the busy holiday season.
Let’s head next door to Universal’s Islands of Adventure and check out what’s happening.
The Seuss Landing entrance arch is still missing for refurbishment. We hope to see it back up soon!
Poseidon’s Fury refurbishment continues along with workers touching up the freshly painted seal.
Poseidon’s Fury is reportedly aiming to reopen in February, we’re so excited! Also keep an eye out for Taylors and the Professor Baxter who meet outside the attractions entrance.
Check out these Spider-Man baseball caps we found in 5 & Dime in Marvel Super Hero Island.
We definitely had to pick one up, Spider-Man is one of our favorite superheroes!
That’s all from us today! See you next time and for more Universal Studios news from around the world, follow Universal Parks News Today on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
