REVIEW: New Sour Cherry Churro Is One of the Best Churros in Disneyland History

We decided to try the brand new Sour Cherry Churro that just debuted in Tomorrowland at Disneyland Park, and it certainly did not disappoint. Keep reading for our full review.

Sour Cherry Churro – $5.75

with Sour Cherry Sugar

You can also add on a cream cheese dipping sauce for an additional dollar.

This churro is possibly one of the best in Disneyland history!

It is tart and sweet as you would expect, with a cherry candy flavor.

It’s when you bring the cream cheese icing into play that this elevates into a masterpiece.

The sweet and dense frosting is the absolute perfect pairing, making this our favorite Disney couple.

We’d say the additional dollar for the cream cheese dipping sauce is definitely worth it.

Will you be trying this new churro? Let us know in the comments!

Book Review: “The Temperature of Me and You” by Brian Zepka is a Beautiful First-Love LGBTQ+ Story with a Sci-Fi Component

Brian Zepka’s debut novel, The Temperature of Me and You, is a coming-of-age story about first love. It straddles the genres of romance and science fiction in a young adult novel that feels tangentially related to Marvel’s X-Men while also incorporating LGBTQ+ themes and allegory. I laughed, I cried, and I quickly found myself rooting for young […]

PHOTOS: Lounge in Style with New Disneyland Sweatshirts and Pants

The weather is cold all over the U.S. right now, and we are ready to curl up with these stylish new sweatshirts and lounge pants from the Disneyland Resort.

Tie-Dye Disneyland Sweatshirt – $44.99

This pastel crewneck sweatshirt has a retro vibe with the Disneyland D printed in dark blue.

In addition to Disneyland, the words Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, Adventureland, and Frontierland are cut out of the blue D.

The center of the shirt has a castle icon and a Mickey head with “Est. ’55” between them.

The back of the sweatshirt is plain, featuring the pastel tie-dye colors of light blue, baby pink, and white.

This shirt was found at Elias & Co. in Disney California Adventure.

Tie-Dye Disneyland Lounge Pants – $44.99

If you prefer to match, you’re in luck! The matching pants can be found on the same rack.

The word Disneyland adorns the pants in a large font, with even more Disneyland lands cut out of the lettering. In addition to the ones on the shirt, the pants have New Orleans Square, Main Street, U.S.A., Mickey’s Toon Town and the Hub cut out of the lettering.

Like the shirt above, the back of the pants are plain and show off the pastel tie-dye colors.

These pants can also be found at Elias & Co. in Disney California Adventure.

Disneyland Black Hoodie – $44.99

If pastel isn’t your cup of tea, perhaps you’ll prefer this black pullover hoodie?

As you can see, the Disneyland logo repeats as an all-over print in silver, while white stars and dots form a Mickey Mouse head.

The hoodie has a tie at the neckline.

The all-over print continues onto the back of the hoodie and even the hood.

You can also find this top at Elias & Co. at Disney California Adventure.

REVIEW: NEW Strawberry-Lemon Cake at Plaza Inn at Disneyland Park

We tried the new Strawberry-Lemon Cake at Plaza Inn in Disneyland Park. Keep on reading for our full review.

Strawberry-Lemon Cake – $5.99

Lemon Sponge with Strawberry and Lemon Buttercream

It’s a light and refreshing lemon and strawberry, not too tart or too sweet.

The lemon sponge cake is moist and enjoyable.

The strawberry-lemon buttercream is rich and fluffy. It’s surprisingly light and subtle for a Plaza Inn cake.

It’s not our favorite entry ever here, but it’s a nice change of pace from the chocolate cake slices.

Three Words: Disney. Dinosaur. Lightsaber. 🦖

Oh, Disney World, we love it when you surprise us with random things.

Dinosaur

Sometimes those things are an abandoned box of Dole Whips, a pair of ducks on a date, a lonely balloon, or some other random thing that just pops up. But sometimes, Disney surprises us with unique merchandise, like poisonous trinket trays (granted, at the time we had no idea what these poisonous things were). But today, we found the most epic piece of random merchandise EVER.

Okay, so this one deserves a straight-up drum roll. So here we go… what we found was a…

…a DINOSAUR LIGHTSABER!!! Like who even knew there were dinosaurs in Star Wars? Okay, okay, we technically know this isn’t REALLY a lightsaber, but it’s still a cool Dinosaur Light-Up Wand Thing (that we are going to continue to call a lightsaber). Anyway, is this the dino that Dr. Seeker wants to go get?

Dinosaur. Lightsaber. That’s it.

As you can see, it lights up just like a lightsaber — and the hilt is a cool dino. We’re not saying we’re obsessed, but…well, okay, yes, we’re obsessed. Who needs to go to Savi’s Workshop and spend HUNDREDS of dollars on a lightsaber when you can find something like this at Disney World, right?

Let’s go get that dino

This is certainly one of the more unique souvenirs you’ll find at Disney World, and if this is something you need in your life (and who doesn’t?), you can find it at the Dino Institute Shop next to Dinosaur at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. We can’t imagine any dinosaur-loving folks out there being able to turn this baby down. In the meantime, we’ll just pretend dinosaurs exist in Star Wars while we swing this around and pretend to defeat a prehistoric version of Darth Vader (#sorrynotsorry).

We’ll let you know if we spot any other unique and interesting souvenirs at Disney World, so be sure to check back with us soon.

Here’s Another Disney World Light-Up Souvenir We’re Obsessed With

You HAVE to See the Latest 3D Chalk Art in Disney World!

Every EPCOT festival has its own unique theme — whether you prefer the art and music of the Festival of the Arts or the savory snacks of the Food and Wine Festival, there’s something for everyone! Currently, Disney World is in the middle of the first EPCOT festival of the year: Festival of the Arts! Of course, we love the Insta-worthy foods and ultra-hard-to-get merchandise, but we have to take a minute to appreciate all the TALENT present during this festival!

This is one of our FAVORITE festivals!

This one goes out to all the artists, musicians, and performers that dazzle us with their talent during the Festival of the Arts — you guys ROCK! During our recent visit to EPCOT, we got to see an INCREDIBLE new work of art in progress that you have to see!

One of our favorite parts of the Festival of the Arts is visiting the chalk artists and watching them work their magic.

Disney’s chalk artists are INCREDIBLE!

The best part is, there’s always something new to see! These artists create some STUNNING chalk art right on the sidewalks of EPCOT — it’s truly something you have to see in person to fully appreciate. Just don’t go when it’s raining

Look at that talent!

There are several different artists working on projects during the festival, including an extremely talented artist who specializes in 3D chalk art, like this! Somehow, this artist is able to work some crazy perspective-altering magic, and we LOVE it!

WHOA!

During our most recent visit, artist Nate Baranowski was working on a new project. This time, he’s creating a SUPER realistic Groot design. Isn’t it amazing?! We were stunned when we saw it!

Our jaws are on the FLOOR!

As you can see, it’s still a work in progress, but it’s almost finished! We LOVE visiting these artists to check in on their progress. It’s a fun mystery to see what they will be working on!

This art is melting our hearts!

If you ever get the chance, we highly recommend checking out the chalk walk near the EPCOT World Showcase! In the meantime, stay tuned for all the latest Disney news and park updates!
