Each method of transportation has […]

We bring you a lot of stories every single day. Sometimes it’s hard to keep up. So in case you missed anything from our feed, we have rounded up all our stories in one place to get the news at a glance. Here is your Daily Recap for Sunday, January 30, 2022.
The Lunar New Year festival at Disney California Adventure isn’t just about food. Guests can also meet rare characters during physically-distanced character sightings.
Back in 2019, we reported how the hills in Toontown were removed to prepare for the arrival of Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. Well, every day we’re getting closer and closer to the opening of the attraction because today, the hills are alive and have returned to Toontown.
During our adventures at EPCOT today, we noticed a Life Day Starbucks mug has made its way over from Batuu.
Get excited, lovebirds, because Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. And Disneyland is getting ready with these new Valentine’s Day Minnie ears that just arrived at the resort.
An odd new piece of “Star Wars” merchandise has arrived at Disneyland Resort. We found this Chewbacca pen in Star Wars Trading Post at Downtown Disney District.
Hey there, hi there, ho there! We headed down to Disney California Adventure for the opening day of the Lunar New Year Festival, and we want you to come along. Join us on this photo report from the park.
Before the festival opened, we found ourselves in Avengers Campus where this happy guy thwipped over to say hi.
In the nearby Backlot Premiere Shop, we found this super cool new hoodie for kids that is modeled after Spidey’s new hybrid suit in “Spider-Man: No Way Home.”
At 11 a.m., the Lunar New Year Festival begins.
For those interested in tasting their way through the many booths and restaurants with specialty offerings, the Sip and Savor pass is a convenient way to enjoy everything the event has to offer.
First we stopped in to the Joffrey’s Coffee Cappuccino Cart for the new Mango-Pineapple Pie, above, and Baked Char Siu Bao, below. You can read our full review right here.
Over at Red Dragon Spice Traders, we tried the new Impossible Lion’s Head meatballs and Dancing Firecracker (non-alcoholic drink), pictured, that join an already stellar menu of returning items. You can read our full review right here.
This beautiful Peach Yuja-Ade, and its alcoholic variant, the Soju Peach Yuja-Ade, are both available from Lucky 8 Lantern. We sampled them both, and you can read our full review right here.
There is even a Magic Key photo op with a view overlooking Paradise Bay.
We caught the first showing of Mulan’s New Year Procession as it made its way through the festival area. Being that we’re welcoming the year of the tiger, of course Tigger is out front leading the way.
A new float for Mulan, Mushu, and several drummers also takes part in the procession. You can watch the whole show on our YouTube channel, or in the video below:
You can see our personal interaction with Raya on our YouTube channel, or in the video below:
All this walking and eating has made us hungry, so we headed over to Lamplight Lounge to try their Lunar New Year offerings and we were not disappointed. You can read our full review right here.
And the waterfront seating provides one of the best views in the park, especially just after sunset.
We hope you enjoyed this photo report. We’re glad you rode along. We’ll see ya real soon!

After three years (and a rumored return last year that didn’t pan out), the beloved and wacky “Usatama on the Run” Easter parade will finally return to Tokyo Disneyland for a three month run from April 1 to June 30, 2022!
The wacky and kooky parade will be presented in an alternate version to accommodate COVID-19 safety protocols, but Mickey, Minnie, and all the Disney friends will return to catch the chaos-loving Usatamas, which are eggs with bunny ears that have gone loose around Tokyo Disneyland. Decorations, merchandise, and food themed to the Usatamas will also be sold.
You can enjoy a video of “Usatama on the Run” from its last run in 2019 above.
At Tokyo DisneySea, guests will be able to enjoy colorful decorations and paintings inspired by springtime flowers and animals at Via Paperino in Mediterranean Harbor from April 1 to June 30. Also perfect for spring will be the cherry blossom-themed menu items at restaurants offering “Seasonal Taste Selections” in commemoration of the 20th anniversary of Tokyo DisneySea. No announcements were made regarding “Tip-Top Easter” and its return, or a harbor greeting in its place.
