It’s been an exciting week of announcements about new and returning entertainment at Disney World! Not only did we find out when Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade will begin, but we also got a reopening date for the Festival of Fantasy parade, which will once more feature the fire-breathing Maleficent dragon!
Fantasmic!
We even know when the new castle stage show, Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire will debut and when the Frontierland Hoedown will return. However, a new photo shows signs that another very popular Disney World show could be set to return soon!
Disney has already revealed that Fantasmic! will return in 2022 (THIS YEAR) but has not yet released an official reopening date. We do know the show will feature new stunt performers, new characters, new animation, and more! In the meantime, we’ve watched the ongoing construction at the Fantasmic! amphitheater at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The show even got an update on the My Disney Experience app!

Well, we now have a NEW update, thanks to an aerial photo by @bioreconstruct. The photo shows that the refurbishment on the amphitheater is close to complete and the moat has water in it again. That means we’re one step closer to seeing Fantasmic! again soon, right?
