PHOTOS: Disney Skyliner EPCOT Line Closed for Scheduled Refurbishment

Last year, Walt Disney World announced that the EPCOT line of the Disney Skyliner would be closing for refurbishment from January 23, 2022 to January 28, 2022. Last week, the EPCOT line unexpectedly closed earlier than scheduled. Cast Members told us it was down for “maintenance.” Today, the EPCOT line is officially down for its originally announced scheduled refurbishment.

It was also announced that the refurbishment would be shortened to three days instead of the originally announced five.

We stopped by the skyliner station at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. Signs that state “Disney Skyliner service to EPCOT and Disney’s Riviera Resort is unavailable. Please utilize alternate bus transportation” are posted out front.

We also checked out the station at Disney’s Riviera Resort.

The sign says “Closed” for the EPCOT line, but Disney Skyliner is still operating to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and the Pop Century & Art of Animation station.

Similar to the sign at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, signs are posted out front encouraging guests to utilize bus transportation.

The EPCOT line is indeed closed to guests but we did see some gondolas running, most likely for testing purposes.
