In a move that might bring the area more towards its original Boardwalk inspiration, the games of Pixar Pier in Disney California Adventure have switched from using cards to tokens.

There is now a token machine and updated signage. One token is $5.

The machine only accepts cash payment. Guests must see a Cast Member to pay with card.

Special Pixar Pier tokens have not come in yet, so the machine is just handing out old Mad T Party tokens, the former nighttime event which performed from 2012 to 2014, and again in 2015 for the Disneyland Resort’s 60th Anniversary Diamond Celebration.
