TRON Lightcycle / Run remains under construction in Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom. Though we don’t know how far along the interior of the ride is, we can keep checking up on the exterior portion.
The structure next to the coaster, which may be for lockers, is mostly enclosed with wall paneling now.
Crew members in a cherry-picker were working on the top of the structure. They have installed metal rods along one edge.
Crew members were also working on the edge of the canopy framework.
Tubing runs along some of the framework and more vertebrae-like pieces have been installed.
There was a lot of activity on the walkway leading towards the attraction entrance.
Some of the crew was working on the entrance canopy.
All of the visible walkway has been paved, but it is still surrounded by plain wooden railings and temporary orange netting.
Vertebrae pieces run along the entire canopy edge closest to the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover.
We can also see from this side that the locker structure is not enclosed on one side.
Paneling will presumably be installed between each of the vertebrae pieces.
Here is the initial line of vertebrae with silver paneling.
Scaffolding remains in place on the show building, beneath the coaster track.
There is no opening date for TRON Lightcycle / Run, which was originally set to open in time for the 50th anniversary. It may not open until 2023.
The delayed opening of TRON Lightcycle / Run also means a delay in the return of the Walt Disney World Railroad.
The railroad will go through a tunnel beneath the coaster.
