Similar to Tokyo Disney Resort for their 35th Anniversary in 2018 and Walt Disney World right now for their 50th Anniversary, Disneyland Paris has announced that they will add thirty new character statues and mobiles in a new area near Sleeping Beauty Castle called the Gardens of Wonder.
The new Gardens of Wonder displays will be located in front of and around Sleeping Beauty Castle and feature ten distinct gardens and a total of thirty different Disney characters. Unlike the Happiest Mickey and Fab 50 statues, these depictions will be somewhat more abstract, and unique to the Paris park. In the concept art, we can see Tiana, Belle, and Merida.
We can also see the progress on Tiana from the preview video.
Also visible in this preview is Snow White.
Mushu from “Mulan” will be part of the gardens.
Rapunzel will have her own home in the Gardens of Wonder as a statue.
Baymax from “Big Hero 6” is well underway to becoming a mobile featuring parts of his costume.
Visible in the background is a Cheshire Cat statue.
All thirty of these statues will come out starting March 6th with the kickoff of Disneyland Paris’ 30th Anniversary celebration. Are you excited to see these come to the park? Let us know in the comments below!
