While Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage remains closed with no exact opening date announced for its extended refurbishment, we found something to be a bit different on our latest visit to the construction site.

Taking a look from the outside first, walls continue to block the view of the attraction from the ground level.

The walls still say “Resurfacing this Winter” with no year.

From the ground, we could see some tarps laid over scaffolding.

The big news, though, is the submarines have been uncovered, having previously been covered with tarps.

This may mean refurbishment has begun on the submarines themselves.

Scaffolding and construction materials surround the submarines.

Paper bags and boxes nearby seemed to be full of new colorful coral elements.

A crew member was working on the tracks not far from the subs.

Scaffolding surrounds one coral structure next to the tracks.

When the Monorail circled around, we could see tubing running through the empty lagoon.
